I ordered this because I will be doing some renovations to my house to get it ready to sell. I like that it is multiple tools in one. It is a laser measuring tape, level, and stud detector. When using the measure function, you can switch between continuous or manual capture. I really like the continuous measure function so that I don't have to press the button to get the measure. It can keep a memory of the last few measurements you did so you don't have to write them down right away. There are a number of functions for measuring like area and volume, but I haven't used those yet to know how they work. The stud finder is a little tricky to figure out. It can detect wood and metal, and it's supposed to detect cables. The only way to know for sure if there is a cable is if I tore into my wall to see if there was a cable there. I think it's working though because I tried it close to a light switch and it "detected" something. Not sure if it was the studs or what. But, it does seem to find wood and metal pretty easily as it found them at 16 inch centers. The level function seems to work, I double checked it with a regular level and it was on point with the regular level. The battery doesn't last that long though. Within 5 measurements the battery had drained about 75%. So I'm not sure that it will be that useful for entire jobs. It's more of a novelty for quick tasks. I'm not sure I would get it again because of the battery, I would have to make sure I had a way to charge it and that means carrying extra stuff that I would have to keep track of.

I like this okay and will get some use of it. It seems to do a decent job finding studs, perlin's and AC power. The controls are fairly easy to use, but their spellings aren't correct on a few of the screens.
