This is a amazing pack of walkie talkies. Really good bang for your buck. Less then $100 and you get 2 quality radios. Tons of features that I don't even know how to use or will use. There is this GPS feature not sure what that is but for the parts that I do know it's very simple to use. I would recommend reading the manual, once you have the basics it's really a simple radio to use. Good battery life. Tons of ways to charge it. Good clear sound both ways.

I was very impressed with this two way radio. This is not like the old walkie talkies that were really simple to use, this Ham radio is so advanced that even the most seasoned professionals will have to learn as they go. There is nothing wrong with these Ham radios other than I just don't have the knowledge to be able to use them to their full capacity. The GPS is a nice bonus, and the build quality on this radio is very strong.You can fully customize your channel layout with over 600 channels. You can delete unused GMRS so you don't have to fool with them. They have already included 11 NOAH channels for emergency weather updates. They charge with a USB C charger, and the screen is 1.77". It has a removable antenna, plus an extra one, and it has a very high powered 2500 mAh battery. It is compatible with all UV-82 accessories, which is a huge deal.The tuner technology is UHF, VHF. The chipset in this unit has the latest technology and now you can arrange and modify so much of what you couldn't before. You have 10 watts of maximum power and an inner changeable antenna.It comes with 2 ear pieces, 2 car chargers, and 2 wall chargers. Don' get frustrated if you can't master this radio the first time that you use it because it will take time to understand it and use it correctly.This, in my opinion, is one of the finest two way radios out on the market today, but there is a huge learning curve. I highly recommend it.

I ended up returning these as programming is a NIGHTMARE. Does NOT work with Chirp OR the Bluetooth programmer sold for this radio. Not my first radio, I have been a HAM 20+ years. The programming software from the manufacturer is way wayyy too basic to be used to program a radio like this. You'd spend days manually entering data.

Nice litte Baofeng. Everything seems to work fine. GPS I had to enable and be outside.DON'T use the software with the programming cable, go on the Baofeng website Downloads and get UV-5RM Plus GPS programming software. Set your time zone for gps.I would buy again and recommended. A++

Programming repeaters was a complete hassle. Radio did not work with the software provided, from the manufacturer website or with Chirp. I tried several connectors that work with the UV5R. Manually programming does not accept offset, be prepared to do the calculations for repeater offsets by hand on the tx freq. It will not accept a RX freq and no tx freq also. You have to have both.
