I bought the clear acrylic light shade to match another light in our kitchen that has clear glass ball shades. The acrylic shade matches perfectly. You'd never know that it isn't glass unless you look closely. There are subtle seams from the plastic mold, but they are barely visible.

We used a drill with a door knob cutter attachment to cut a hole on the bottom of the shade. This enabled the the bulb to detect movement and turn on automatically. It did not prior to our opening up the bottom of the shade. We are happy with the result. An inexpensive intervention.

Excellent value for a replacement globe. One-third of the cost of a replacement from the manufacturer. It fit perfectly and is made of plastic, but you cannot tell when installed.

I read the product details several times & understood that the opening of the globe was 6" which is what I needed - not the case! I will be returning it. Also, the value for $ is poor; I found a better product that fit at local hardware.

It was perfect for the center globe of my Emerald city. I needed it to be 6 inches and clear. This globe was perfect! It was also shipped very quickly and with extreme care!

This is ok. My biggest complaint is that it has the seam where the plastic is connected as you can see in my second photo. Which I'm not a fan of at all. But it serves its purpose in my ceiling fan, it's clear and allowes more light then the white globe did. On a brighter note .. it's acrylic! So if you drop it, it won't ever shatter!
