This modern light has just enough bling without making a statement. The gold is a deeper gloss which looks high-end. The bar that holds the glass globes seems strong as well as the down rod poles. This one was returned because it arrived with some dents and minor scratches. It gives a good amount of light over the dining table without being too much. We have it on a dimmer. It is low impact as to not block the views out of our windows which we wanted.
