They send you a pile of bolts and nuts with absolutely no instructions. Sure I’ve watched the videos on YouTube trying to fumble my way through until I realize the “provided” hardware is indeed not provided! Absolutely horrible product. They need to spend less on there fancy packaging and send the right type of hardware and maybe some instructions would be helpful? Would not buy again nor will I!

I got the 22" one to make the truck look as if it was the original stick shift.It works ok, but the cable is stiff and sometimes takes a little to shift gears.I had to modify the arm (Lengthen it) as it was way too short and at too much of an angle.

Poor poor china made best describes.American only in name.Parts machines poorly.Retapping and die work required.Side shift would not functionShift plate not machines correct for 6 shift positions.Sent two parts back , see if replacement any better!I did not receive all the parts aksked for in order.Poor instructionsDon’t waste your time and money.Learn from others mistakes.Buy a Lokar—-Forget side shift

Love the style however the cable within the shifter is not well designed as I had to modify the cable end at the top and attach a cap to allow for an easier way to shift gears when pushed, otherwise the cable itself bends out of shape and hard to press.

Shifter kit doesn't come with written instructions. After searching on American Shifters website I found their youtube videos on installation. The installation videos are seriously lacking detail. I was able to figure it out after a few moments of panic in which I thought this kit wouldn't work.Some of the nuts and bolts are metric while others are standard. So have both sets of wrenches and allen wrenches ready.One of the bolts that came with the kit was gacked but easy enough to replace.The shifter button which locks the shifter in place appears more decorative then functional. I can shift from park to 1st and back to park without park without using the button. This could easily be an installation error or my part but as there are no detailed instructions this could be a flaw with the shifter itself.Now back to the garage to fight with this some more.
