I got these to keep in my truck. They have a great visibility, bright red with a reflective cross to for extra visibility at night. They have a stiff wire spreader sewn into the flag with a loop in the center of the for attaching to the load. Good quality and seem pretty durable after a couple of uses.

While these are mesh, they will move in the wind and do not lay perfectly still. The attachment ring is nice and decent thickness along with the mesh material. How well it holds up during use to sun, wind, and rain will have to wait for another up date. However, these are polyester (waterproof) and a lot more visible than just a 1" strip of red plastic tied to the end of whatever sticks past your bumper.

They do resemble a Confederate flag but maybe that's just me. They're high quality, reasonably priced, and will keep you legal if your load extends more than 4' out the back.For my state (Arkansas, USA):Rear Overhang Limits and Marking Requirements:Maximum Rear Overhang: Generally, a load cannot extend more than 4 feet beyond the rear of your vehicle.Marking a Projecting Load: If your load extends 4 feet or more to the rear, it must be marked to make it visible to other drivers.Nighttime (30 minutes after sunset to 30 minutes before sunrise): You need a red light or lantern at the extreme rear of the load, visible from at least 500 feet.Daytime: A red or fluorescent orange flag (at least 16 inches square) must be displayed at the extreme rear end of the load.So a battery operated red LED would have been icing on this cake.And now I'm wondering if the plastic flags you get at Home Depot are even 16" square.I would order these flags again.

These are a coated mesh material with reflective on one side. I ordered to use as flags on my crab pot bouys. These will work well and the material is easy to spray clean. Very durable. Very bright.

usually use a red bandana or caution tape, so I was excited to try these flags—and they’re a huge upgrade! At 18x18, they’re much bigger and sturdier. The metal loop with a rod keeps them from folding in on themselves, even at 60mph. Strong stitching, bright colors, and bold reflective strips make them super visible, especially in headlights.With six in a pack, I can hang them on all sides of a load, which is great for visibility in parking lots. I’m keeping some in every truck on the farm!

"I wasn’t sure what I’d do with six of these, but I ended up removing the wire loops from two so they’d fold smaller and stashed them in my hiking pack. They’ll make great semaphore or emergency signal flags in the backcountry.For their main use, they’re well-designed and effective—the yellow reflective stands out on the reddish-orange background, day or night. The wire loop makes for quick attachment to a load or vehicle, and since it’s in a sewn channel, you can also slide in a cord or pole if needed.
