The way these have a raised platform for drainage is amazing. I really love knowing I can use regular 4x4 to save some money but still have enough clearance not to worry that my wood will rust. Although I will paint my posts, these give me a strong, good looking foundation that will help keep my wood from falling apart. These came with some amazing screws. Everything you need to install your posts correctly. Very good looking product. Heavy duty.

These post bases are really bad quality , it’s not stable at all, it’s easily distinguished how terrible it is by its weight and poor material made. Even the lowest price post bases at Lowe’s or homedepot’s are better quality than this one.

I like that these 4" x 4" post bases raise the post for water drainage. I like that they are made from .1" thick steel with a nice looking textured black powder coat, and I like that they included blackened hardware. The instructions are easy to read, to simplify installation. Measurements show that a standard pressure treated 4"x 4" post will fit easily. After examining this pair, I feel these bases will function perfectly for my covered walkway project, so I will be ordering some more. I feel they are a good value and I am really happy they included blackened hardware.
