This helped with two separate items, and was stellar at both. I installed a shower in my home and code inspection required 2" of sitting water above the shower drain to test for leaks as a part of this process but the shower pan itself wasn't quite tall enough at the opening side. I installed this and got the water level well over what was required for code and as installed kept the water damned at nearly the full height of the dam for over a day straight before I drained it after the inspection. Aside from the inspection I installed my (screw-in) shower curtain perhaps at a height that was a smidge too high for the regular shower pan. I had originally planned on removing the shower dam after the inspection process but ultimately decided to keep it because it's barely noticeable in terms of color/looks; helps prevent water from leaving the shower pan and now helps hold my shower curtain in the shower pan. Very nice product, would definitely get again for either situation.
