I have a Whirlpool water softener that is about 10 years old. We have a low level of iron in the water and hardness of around 25-30. I have added the resin cleaner to the water softener and use the Morton Salt with iron remover. I noticed the water softener was not working well due to seeing spots on dishwasher items and after doing some internet homework saw that the diaphragm in the venturi does wear out over time especially with the chemicals used to take care of the iron. SO, I ordered the new Venturi and installed it upon arrival. Took about 15 minutes. System appears to be working OK at this point.

When our 10-year old water softener started acting up, the owners manual and YouTube videos pointed to the little parts inside this assembly. It turned out to be more economical to purchase the entire unit rather than getting the several pieces separately. It is a drop-in replacement for several brands of the identical unit. Resolved our problem.
