If this was auto focus instead of manual it would be the only lens on my cameraI know some people talk about how this lens doesn't measure up the only thing I can say is it must be their camera because it's definitely not the lensUsing the fx3 and this lens I was able to get some amazing shotsThat two date none of my other lenses have been able to achieveThe picture quality color retention Boca is on its own levelI shot the exact same food item with every lens in my Arsenal and this one surpassed them allGranted manual focus is a pain in the a☆☆ but if you go through the pain the shots you get are so worth itAnd at the price they're charging on Amazon for it it's a stealI wish they made it autofocus because if they do I hope they notify me that day I will purchase that lensBut if you're thinking about it to say I highly recommend it would be an understatementI am so glad I decided to take a chanceAlso The APS-C in super 35 mode I was concerned about the loss in MP but to be honest comparing the shots taken with this lens compared to the full frame lensesThis one always looks better

Surprisingly heavy (but in a premium-feeling way), made of metal, cold to the touch. Has a smooth aperture ring but not the end of the world. Wide open, there is some noticeable color fringing especially in high contrast scenarios, and sometimes you really have to nail the focus just right to prevent red or blue fringing (see white flower and lego cactus), but overall for what it is and given the price i've had a lot of fun with this lens! One of my faves

Right out of the fancy box...I fell in love. Excellent lens and at f/.95, you can't beat it.

Es un excelente objetivo, muy bueno para trabajos con poca luz, claro está que se sacrifica la distancia focal, pero buena nitidez y una excelente manofactura

I have this lens for almost a year and I love it but now I have problems with the focus ring 🙁 I'm always very careful with my gear, I don't know what happen. One moment when I have the back cup put on the lens and I move the focus ring it makes an explotion of air and then I realice that the focus ring has problems :(

It’s a F0.95 for $250. Image quality is pretty good, it’s not super sharp but... well it’s an F0.95 for $250! It’s also not excessively soft. Perfectly happy with IQ.I wish the aperture ring was clicked and the focus throw could’ve been a tad longer. Otherwise, super happy. Very sturdy feeling lens.

The optics on this lens seem really good to me, but I'm not one of those lens analysis people. The aperture ring is not "clicky", which is fine by me. The aperture and focus rings are really smooth and not stiff, but also not too "un-stiff".The "look" of the lens is really nice, and I usually don't care about that at all. The nice white markings are a little large, but in a very stylish way, and the depth-of-field graph gives it a superb retro look.If I were to complain about something, it would be that the aperture ring above f4 doesn't have much detail, it's basically "something tighter than f4". That doesn't bother me, but if you want to precisely dial-in f11 you might be frustrated.Very solid construction, like the other 7Artisans lenses I have, like the very different-looking 35mm f1.2 (also a super-nice lens, for the money).

For a $250 lens ($200 less than the mitakon competitor which seems almost identical from my research) this is phenomenal. The quality of construction is extremely high, and the lens is very sharp on my fuji X-T4. Easily the most fun lens to shoot with, the depth of field is so beautiful. Definitely enable zebras and focus peaking to make sure you nail the focus because it's very easy to be slightly off due to such a shallow band at f0.95. Technically I believe the lens is more like T1.0 but it's certainly fast enough.Only complaint is the cap is held on very snug with felt (beautiful machining) but it doesn't work with a UV filter or anything on top of it, which is a bit of a bummer. Just slides right off. Also doesn't come with a lens hood and the lens flare is a bit much looking straight at the sun but you can buy plenty of third party 52mm lens hoods with the money you saved from the mitakon.Aperture wheel should probably be clicked as well or at least have more resistance, it's very easy to adjust it by accident while shooting. But for video if you need to change aperture mid shot it's all mechanical and smooth (unlike for example the viltrox 23mm 1.4 which is clickless as well but doesn't directly translate and is still adjusted in stops). Vignetting and chromatic aberration are there but those can be removed in post. Sharpness is phenomenal even wide open, zooming in to 200% even with the X-T4's 6 megapixels it still looks solid. Corners aren't as sharp but shooting wide open you aren't really looking for full photo sharpness most of the time as the depth of field is the main goal. All around very fun lens to use, not as good picture quality as my 16-80 F4 but that lens costs $800 and isn't nearly as fast and fun to use. This thing is so small and easy to shoot with it's my new default most of the time, besides video handheld where the stabilization of 16-80 is crucial.
