FYI: These carbon filters are designed for use in ventless range hoods. But that's not a requirement. With some flexibility and creativity on your part, can be used for almost any smelly space. We use ours in and around the cat litter box.WINS: They're effective at stopping odors from spreading. We use clips with double-sided tape to adhere them to the underside lid of our litter box waste area. We also keep one on top of a litter bag within a tightly sealed aluminum (Behrens brand) can that we basically use as a diaper genie for cat liter. It works!FAILS: No problems to note.FINAL GRADE: A+

I use this stuff as an extra lint filter in my clothes dryer. I cut it to the shape of the cartridge filter and sandwich it between the cartridge filter and the dryer housing. It's amazing how much lint gets by the cartridge filter, but this stuff catches a lot, and it keeps me from having to tear open my dryer once a year and vacuum out of the escaped lint to keep my dryer working well.
