I didn’t expect too much for $12 but two of the dishes arrived broken.

My husband does metal casting and is really into this crucible set and is so happy we got it. He says the quality is really good. He is able to do better pours with these than with his old set. He said it's easy to carry and hold. He thinks the quality is excellent and a great value.

I’m pretty new to metalworking, so this kit was a good way to dip my toes in and see if I enjoy it. For the price, it’s a solid entry-level set. It comes with everything you need to get started—two sizes of ceramic crucibles, a couple of tongs, and all the essentials for melting metal. The ceramic crucibles hold up well to the heat, and I like that the spouts help with pouring the molten metal without making a mess. The tongs work fine for handling the crucibles, though I do recommend taking your time and preheating them as suggested—gives them a longer life. They’re durable and seem to handle the heat without any issues. For anyone just starting out in metal casting, this kit gives you a good feel for the process without breaking the bank. It’s not the fanciest, but it gets the job done for refining gold or making small jewelry pieces.
