I got these to absorb shock on a machine I'm working on:Pros:Uniform resistance as they expand and collapse, very little difference in the force required to start it moving and keep it movingGood manufacturing quality: this is a 4 pack, and all 4 are identicalPiece on either end makes installation easier, since you don't have to swap anythingCons:The grease seeps out of them. You cannot handle them at all without your hands feeling tacky, and I worry they will accumulate lint/dust inside the machine and affect operationSuspect seal. Covering the vent holes didn't have any noticeable impact on the operation like I thought it should, suggesting air is freely moving through the fittings and around the piston. These are not certified to any specific force that I could find to measure against. If you have one of the specific models of washer, these are a custom fit and solve a legitimate problem. They could be better, but for the price I can easily recommend giving these a shot if your original shock absorbers have failed.

These are very easy to install and work just fine. Not sure how they will hold up compared to the original parts but seem like they are not bad.
