This is a smaller footprint amp and it is super easy to setup if using with an Android head unit. This comes with a short cable that interfaces with the Android head unit and you have this daisy chained in between the head unit and the speakers. This amp does not take up a lot of space yet gives a higher output to the speakers. The build feels solid and looks to be high quality. The sound output is good and I could not detect any distortion. I like this setup and the install was not too difficult. I feel that I can recommend it.

Super easy installation, app is basic but it does let you use "aux" to tune subwoofer but the frequency is from 100 to 14k , you will need to tune the 500 to 2000 range for what music you listen to. volume is separate from headunit volume If you really wanted it to scream but it will lively up your 10 - 32 eq really sound hifi compared to most "dsp" head units. At high volume 100+/- sound crisp and clear even sounds that would be hidden or cut out are pronounced

I have an older truck that I wanted to upgrade the stereo without breaking the bank, so I installed a cheap Chinese Android system. Afterwards I noticed that even though I upgraded the speakers as well the volume was lower than the factory unit. I've been kinda looking for a small amp, but was dreading the install of cutting and running wires for speakers, power etc. That's when I came across these DSP amps. You simply plug it in line with the wiring harness. Use the provided extension wire harness from the stereo to plug into the amp, then plug the factory harness to the other end of the amp. Plug in the usb, and you're done. Doesn't get easier than that.There is one thing I didn't like about this unit. The provided extension wire harness is very short. Approximately 4 inches long. This makes it difficult to put the amp somewhere you can mount it, at least in my situation. It comes with holes where you could screw it into the firewall or another place, but the short harness doesn't allow you to reach. As it is, mine is just kind of floating in the among the rest of the wiring. I'm worried it will eventually come unplugged, so I am looking for a longer wiring harness extension. Something to consider buying before install.Overall this was a solid upgrade for my system. The sound is definitely improved, as is the volume. This thing is not going to provide trunk vibrating bass to wake your neighbors, but gives good sound at a volume comparable to a good factory stereo. Good sound, a backup camera, and Apple CarPlay was all I was really hoping to achieve with this system, so this fits the bill for me. I downloaded the app for both my phone and on the stereo itself. I prefer the app on the stereo. The phone app is difficult to figure out and not a vey good app. The stereo app is a little better and more convenient than making adjustments with your phone. Both allow you to use an equalizer and adjust volume presets.

Makes it louder but the app is terrible and the USB to radio doesn’t work as it should but it is very easy to install. I will give it 3 stars for that but in the end you’re better off just buying a better head unit with a DSP built in. You have to watch because they will list a unit as having a DSP with a big EQ, etc but unless it has the Amplifier TDA7850 or 7851 avoid as the units that have the TDA7388 are the ones to avoid. In the end, I should have just spent 35 more dollars and went with a better head unit. Avoid any with the 7388 if you want a good sounding stereo. If you just want a radio the 7388 is ok but if you’re reading this you obviously want good sound quality.I wish you could just delete the built in EQ on these and use Poweramp. It would make a tremendous amount of difference. Don’t waste your money on this.

Sound is pretty good and plenty loud. I have installed on my car and it’s very good performance.
