This DisplayPort switch has mostly been a success for me. I am using it with a 144 Hz 1440p monitor G-Sync monitor and it has no issues with those bandwidth requirements. When switching inputs it's quite fast too. My only issue is one mentioned in other reviews. There is occasionally a situation where it doesn't seem to properly switch and you need to switch it back and forth between inputs again for it to detect properly. In my experience this doesn't ruin the feature, but it's something to keep in mind when considering.

Simple DP switch with an IR receiver and remote. There is no usb switching/true kvm capabilities, but since that was not advertised and the listing doesn't claim it's a KVM, then I'm fine with it.If you really want to move a single keyboard and mouse to move with your display then you need a separate device you need another usb switch.The device works, and does what it does well. Good for multiple PCs connecting to one monitor for watching movies or perhaps a wireless desk setup.

I had such high hopes for this. The setup was easy. The problem was that it isn't always reliable, and I really need that since I need it for my home office.

I have a monitor with a menu for switching inputs that is better described as user-aggressive rather than user-friendly. I tried the displayport switcher with the goal of making it quick and easy to share monitors between work and home PCs. So far it's doing a good job. There is a button you can press to switch inputs but the remote is ever better. I've tucked away the switcher under my desk and mounted the receiver under the table so all I have to do is grab a remote and press 1 or 2 quickly while holding it below the table. I'm not seeing any limitations with a 1440p 155hz monitor, windows is showing matching values in display properties. There is a USB-C power connector provided too, and I found that plugging it into the USB ports of the switched monitor works well since you'll always get power when the monitor is on. I'm sure it would be great for a projector setup but I already have a head unit for that. I tested the remote across the room and it still works, just make sure you have line of sight to the receiver.

I bought a new desktop computer but still want to use the old one, so I got this switch to switch between them. So far, it's working well and I have no complaints. I found the comments by other reviewers helpful and made sure I'm using a dedicated outlet for the unit. It is very simple, nothing fancy about it and it does the job. For the price, and what I need it to do, this is a good option.
