About this item

  • High Strength and Durability: The AINIKEY 8mm SEWN-EYE VT Prusik Hitch Cord 30 inch / 45 inch is made from high-tenacity polyester, featuring a 29kN basket MBS and a 17kN end-to-end MBS, ensuring it can withstand tough outdoor and climbing environments while maintaining safety and long-lasting performance.
  • Precision Stitching and Protective Design: CNC machine-sewn eyes enhance the cord’s strength and stability, preventing damage during use. Each sewn eye is wrapped with a transparent heat-shrink sleeve for added abrasion resistance and easy inspection of the stitching’s condition.
  • Versatility and Compatibility: This Prusik cord is designed for various friction hitches such as VT, Distel, Schwabisch, and Prusik, and is ideal for ropes in the 11-12.5mm (7/16-1/2 inch) diameter range. It performs excellently in applications like Single Rope Technique (SRT), Double Rope Technique (DDRT), tree care, and more.
  • Exceptional Abrasion Resistance: The double-braid construction offers extra strength and durability, allowing the cord to withstand frequent use and high-friction environments. Its low water absorption ensures that it retains its shape and remains reliable even in wet conditions.
  • Compact, Portable, and Multi-purpose: Lightweight and compact, this cord is easy to carry and can be used for a wide range of activities, including rope climbing, rappelling, rescue operations, setting up aerial yoga silks, hanging tarps, hammocks, and other outdoor recreational pursuits.

No safety rating information on the prusiks as is normal for my other lanyards. Not for OSHA-regulated work, seem to work well, but the ends aren't dressed the best when compared against name-brand prusiks.Works very well but the heat shrinking is loose and can be moved out of place, exposing the stitched end of the rope. The fit and finish should be better for things like this, IMO at least. that said, these work well and you can dress the ends better with a short blast from a heat gun.Like them, happy with function and form outside of the end dressings and lack of official rating and tags

Good price , but a little flimsy for trusting your life on it ! I got these premade prusik loops a couple of days ago , and found them to be tied well and have a good feel to them , but thought they were a little smaller rope diameter than I had expected for something that you trust your life with . I took them out and decided to give them a try with my saddle hunting setup and it worked although I was a little nervous when it came time to lean out of the tree to take a shot but it held fine ! All In all I feel like they will probably be fine for hunting but I would feel safer with a heavier duty line and think I will stick with my hand tied prusik for hunting 4 stars

This prusik cords are nice and supple. They are flexible enough to wrap around and hold on a 10mm rope although they are rated for 11 to 12.5mm ropes. The ones I got are a bit too long for just a prusik, but should work well for larger ropes and a more complex hitch like the VT.The stitches look well done and the ends are protected with clear heatshrink so you can inspect them before every use.The rope seems to be good quality polyester. So overall im happy with them. Durability is to be determined but for the price you can go through all 3 for less money than one name brand cord.

I work on powerlines for a living and found that prusik ropes are an awesome tool for rigging, especially for small wire and house services.. I use these on a regular basis, if I’m being honest, I tend to keep them in my bucket at all times considering how many binds they’ve got me out of lol.. I’ve had a lot of guys ask me where I got them from after watching how useful they are. All-in-all, for the price, you can’t beat it!

I used these to suspend my hammock while camping recently and they did great! Although designed for much more demanding applications, these make an affordable and super convenient way to carry other equipment or strap stuff down while on the trail,Look forward to using them again on my next hike.

I have both closed sewn loops and these eye to eye VT prusik cords from AINIKEY in this size. The 8mm 100% polyester cord is a little stiffer than some other cords, but still usable. In the sewn loops it's a little difficult to tie asymmetric hitches like the klemheist since the cord twists and wants to curl, but with these eye-to-eye loops it's okay since the ends are still free.Because of the initial stiffness, it's important to properly dress your knots and hitches to make sure they grab well. Once dressed, these grab well and can hold my weight well. I tried them out on both 1/2" (12.7mm) and 9.7mm main lines and it grabs both well. It does tighten down on the 9.7mm, but it can be hard to loosen after weighting. Around 12.7mm rope it releases very well, so I'd say the recommended 11-12.5mm main rope range is a good guideline. One of the major advantages of these eye-to-eye prusiks over the sewn loops is that you can tie asymmetrical hitches like the schwabisch, which is one of my favorite hitches. It releases easily, but has plenty of grab in the right direction.Being polyester, this has a higher melting point than nylon sheathed ropes. For high friction use you may want to look at aramid or kevlar cords, but this should function well for general prusik usage, and it is definitely more than capable of being a third hand / autoblock for backing up a mechanical device. I've found some other softer and more flexible prusik cords, but they do cost more than these. For the price, these are great. ($36 for a 3-pack at time of this review after 10% coupon)

Great to have in the rigging bag. I like the sewn eye prusiks for VT prusiks and progress captures on pulleys, evenly distributes the tension around the carabiner better. Good quality and have all the makings of great climbing equipment. There is something to be said for brand recognition though so although these are a quality product I'm just not familiar enough with the brand to say that I'd use them for any life supporting setups. But for rigging, work redirects, and other rope jobs they have been great so far. Provide a good catch being smaller diameter, fairly easy to release in a VT configuration on a 1/2 inch 16 strand rigging line.

Scroll down on the product page and they show you information about carabiners, and a UIAA rating (the standard for climbing equipment) that is for a different product entirely. This brand name doesn't exist on the UIAA site, but the brand "T-fly" that they show in the pictures does exist, but they only have ratings for carabiners, no soft goods like these VT prusiks. Looks like this random company copied an existing product page and didn't even have the brains to change the info other than the main photos. Don't buy these, they are not being honest with you, and certainly don't use them for life-support work.
