If you a gamer you know these things just eventually go out, the wire is pretty thin and with the movement between headset and controller they eventually wear out and short out unless you have it just in the right place. This replacement is no different, it’s just what these things are you’ll eventually have to change this one out too I’m on number 3.

I have a Dell monitor with a 3.5mm jack and an old Bose mini II speaker that I needed to connect with a volume control.The cable has an odd shrink wrap feel to it, not bothersome.The volume wheel is easy to spin lower or higher on volume.I do note the volume does not go to zero and I can still faintly hear audio coming out of my speakers.But at least now I can control the volume of my speakers without Bluetooth connection disconnecting.
