the piercing valve works and the access valve stubs work as well. nothing to complain about so far

Cheap cheap and did I say cheap. I'm sure it's other's out here that's better but this isn't it. Shop around before you invest in this cheaply made one.

This vampire tap system is ok for occasional use on smaller refrigeration equipment. It comes with some cheapo braze-in service ports that have surprisingly nice brass caps with o-rings.While one could, in theory, repair many small AC units, dehumidifiers, and refrigerators, the lack or expense of parts frequently makes this impossible. So clamp on the vamp tap, evacuate remaining refrigerant to a recovery drum, and wait for the tweakers and scrappers to take the fridge from the alley to steal the copper. You'll have done your part for responsible recovery.This set contains the parts needed for that task and isn't expensive. Not a bad value.
