I use to paint and resin to be food safe. Wood quality is good and with resin, still deep enough indentation to leave a lip around the edge to keep food on the plate :)

We loved using these when we had friends over for wine and cheese. Would definitely use for any such get-together.

These are really nice, even if you don't use them with wine glasses. Sturdy, and not cheap looking, they are a classy appetizer plate, even if I simply use them camping. I was impressed with how nice looking they are. Smooth, I don't think splinters are a risk, and easy to wipe off- I use a damp cloth to wash them. I wouldn't soak them, however, and risk ruining them.
