I've been an ebay seller for over 20 years & have always shipped over the counter at the post office. Just recently I decided to buy a scale & print my own postage to take advantage of shipping discounts. I purchased this scale to get started. I tested it on a few items & it was spot on accurate. Now I can print my own labels and this scale has already paid for itself in just a few weeks with the shipping discounts I get by printing my own labels instead of paying the over the counter rates at the post office. Just yesterday I saved $3.30 on a 4 pound package I shipped out. I can offer lower shipping costs on the items I sell which equals more sales. I love the color as well as the lighted display making it super easy to read. By having the button that locks in the weight I can weigh large packages, push the button on the side & it locks in the weight when I can't read the display with the package on the scale. I get a receipt at the post office which gives the weights of each package I'm mailing on that day and it matches the accuracy of the scale every time. I don't need to worry about a package arriving with postage due. I highly recommend this scale to anyone who may need it for postage or for any reason.

Bought in October 2016 to use for shipping with my eBay business. I also use it to weigh refrigerant when charging AC systems. The Pros:It's incredibly accurate when weighing grams or weighing a 70 lb package. The display is very large and bright, suitable for use even in full sunlight.Controls are intuitive, very handy to be able to switch from English to Metric so easily.Battery life is also stellar, still has the original batteries in it.It's inexpensive and light. The drawbacks:It's small so you sometimes have to use a board as a 'platform' to weigh larger packages. The 'tare' functionality makes that easy to do though. For larger items you also have to use the 'hold' button since the display is obscured by the item.It is slow to 'boot'. Takes about 5 seconds to be ready to use after turning it on.Would be really nice to be able to change the power-off time. When using to charge AC systems, sometimes it turns itself off before I'm done and have to remove the tank, turn it back on, and then set the tank back onto it.The Conclusions:It's rare that an inexpensive product proves to work well, be thoughtfully designed and built, and durable. This has shown itself to be all 3. It's an outstandingly usable product for it's $20 price.I'd pay 3 times this much for a similar scale that had a remote display and a larger platform and a button that would allow it to remain on for longer time periods only when desired. But If i had a scale like that, I'd still use this one for 90% of what I do.

I inadvertently left my package scale in the "donate" pile in PA when we moved back to WA and regretted it when I needed to weigh any packages I wanted to send out. Do you know how hard it is to read a bathroom scale to decipher all those teeny little lines? Not to mention the digital bathroom scales are now made so they don't register anything under 10 lbs, so as long as I was going to send a package that weighed over 10 lbs I was golden. Being golden only about 10% of the time isn't very fun, though. Trust me.I was intrigued by this scale because it has the features I like, but was lighter weight and has the odd-shaped letter/package flip up thingy. Plus, it's red, and I've got a thing about red. I love that it not only comes with a power adapter, but there's a battery back-up (and they include batteries!) so you can weigh stuff even during a power outage. It's also capable of being powered via USB, so you can power it from your computer if you desire, too. The AC cord and USB cord is included along with the batteries for the battery power option.Very lightweight and compact, but don't let that fool you - it handles anything you throw at it. Well, OK, don't throw stuff at it, be nice. Its compact size makes it easy to move into a different room, like when the hubby borrows it to weigh something he's needing to ship out. Seems to be really accurate - I haven't had UPS or USPS nag me about differing weight since every ounce counts. And don't worry if your package blocks your view of the digital output - they have an easy to use "Hold" button that will maintain the weight of the package even after you remove it so you can see clearly. It's a little tricky to do when you're reaching around a big bulky box, but definitely doable. And handy. It's worth the price and the fact that it can be powered three-ways is even better. I highly recommend this scale!
