Replaced faulty thermostat in wifes car. Others owner suggested seperating the thermostat from the pipe and reusing the original pipe because of the difficulty of the install. They were correct. Keep the o-ring and thermostat from the new part and toss the pipe. Took about 2 hours to complete the job. Car is working fine and wife is happy.
