Pulleys started making noise a little over a year old. Bad bearings, put 18 year old original ones back on no noise so much for preventive maintenance.

Belt tensioner broke off. Piece of garbage. I didn't see GM logo at first but makes sense now.

Tension and pulley kit are well made and fit my 2000 F-150 with 5.4. Had to get a cheater for my 1/2” ratchet, was the strongest tension spring tightener I’ve ever done “ belt was making noises now all quiet. Also had to remove air intake - 3 bolts one electric plug and a snap holding air filter.

Replacing belt and tensioner is not the easiest job, but with a little effort and an hour of your time, it can be done at great svings

The belt and tensioner are both fine but the idler rides in so part of the belt hangs off the edge causing wear. I put the old one back on until I can get the right one. Since this was a kit there appears to be no way to get just a replacement idler.
