My stock brake master cylinder did NOT fail, but it did have a lot of black corrosion gunk in it. I was doing a rebuild of my rear drums brakes (I had a leaking cylinder on one side) and figured since I was going to have to bleed them I might as well replace the 24 yr old master cylinder while I was at it because I figured it was likely to fail soon anyway and why bleed the entire vehicle again, right? Easy install, took around a half hour including doing the bench bleed. Part looks like good quality. No complaints. I will update if problems occur.

Install was easy. Bench bleeding is essential but easy to do. After install had a slight leak seemed like a little tightening stoped it but a little Teflon tape might be a better idea.

Worked perfect and saved me a lot of money replacing this myself. Super easy replacement ... watch youtube videos if you don't know how to do it and save yourself some money!!! Someone thought I was a "stupid woman" and wanted to charge me over $500 to replace this....do it yourself ladies.

Worked great for a month. We don't drive this Jeep too often but after a few drives the brakes locked up. We checked the calipers, pads and lines, no fluid was detected. We traced it to the master cylinder. Front chamber no fluid detected. It is past the return policy so we had to replaced with an Advance Auto Parts Store unit.
