We're older and not quite as limber as we once were. When backing out of spots at the store, it's hard to see all around the car, and people don't always pay attention to vehicles as they should. I figured a back-up beeper would help for both of those problems.This alarm beeper was easy to install by using slip on splices over the two wires going to the back-up lamp. My lamp is inside the back hatch cover, and I got a video of replacing the light bulb online. Simple clamp on splices let me attach the wires going to the lamp. I cable tied the alarm to the frame using openings near the tail light mounting using zip ties.After closing up the hatch cover, I tested the alarm. My wife could hear it 40' feet away on the patio. Since I'm concerned with people close to the car when backing up, it will do the trick. I do think exterior mounting would be much louder, but this will suit my purpose.
