Okay, these sunglasses look cool — no doubt. The retro vibe is real, and the little knob you twist to adjust the tint? Super unique and kind of fun. It's giving vintage gadget energy, and I was genuinely excited to try them out.BUT... the darkest setting is comically dark, like “I can’t see anything” dark. It’s giving blackout mode instead of sun protection. The stepless ND filter idea is smart in theory, but in practice, it’s just too extreme to be practical. For the price, I expected a smoother, more usable range of tint levels. If you’re buying these just for the look or novelty, sure — go for it. But if you need functional, everyday adaptive shades? I’d say pass.

I liked the fact that the darkness of the lens could be adjusted. I think it would be better if the two were in sync. It seemed a little odd to have one lens ending up darker or lighter than the other. Also the glasses are much heavier compared to other sunglasses I have tried. They actually were a bit uncomfortable on the bridge of my nose. The concept is cool, but needs some more work for added comfort.

Fun to play with the different shade strengths. The glasses fit my face and my head is on the smaller side, i.e. over the head headphones can cover my ears without expanding them. I look a bit like a mod scientist when wearing them, but I don't mind, I like it.

You can’t see out of the darkest setting. You’re basically blind. And the knob where you change the darkness tint moves a lot.
