This may not be quite as hot as my previous jacket but it is lovely and warm - all depends on how many layers you've got on underneath. I've worn it skiing and it certainly does the trick. I may not feel lots of heat with my laters but when I press it to me, I can definitely feel it there, so it is making a difference - and I can reduce a layer or two (I wear lots).One comment is that it quite quickly goes to white which it does and is a bit of a pain, but if you just scroll through the settings and get it back to red, it does stay there. My last one was an xxl and this is a medium, so I'd say size is good. I'm 5'7" and 10 st.
