The AIPER Seagull 800B Cordless Robotic Pool Vacuum is a solid choice for general, light-duty cleaning of the pool floor. I tested it for two weeks in an 18-foot round above-ground pool, where I found it to be about 75 percent effective at capturing pool debris when used every other day for routine maintenance. One day, we faced an unexpected storm and didn’t have the pool cover on. As a result, I ended up with a lot of tree debris from nearby trees resting on the bottom of the pool. After removing most of the debris with the leaf net and rake, I set this bot to work. While it didn’t clean the pool floor as effectively as my $1,600 bot would have, I was somewhat impressed with the results this bot delivered.Operating the bot is very simple, with a single button to turn it on. It will then run until the battery is low, at which point it will park along the pool wall for easy retrieval. Latches on both the left and right sides allow the top to be removed, providing access to the collection screen. A quick rinse with the garden hose cleans it up. Once you dry the bot, plug it into the charging cord and let it charge for subsequent use.This bot lacks intelligent navigation; as a result, it moves across the pool floor in a random pattern. I watched it vacuum the same paths several times, but it missed some areas altogether. However, I expected that given the price. Additionally, it is worth noting that this bot will not capture fine dust, pollen, or algae.Conclusion: If you’re on a tight budget, this might be an excellent choice for general pool cleaning. I have tested dozens of pool cleaning bots and am confident that this bot will perform well when compared to other similar bots in the same price range. Returned first unit only worked once then would not run for more then 1 minute. Replacement ran 3 times and now will not turn on. Product is either junk or this company has really bad quality control. Returning second one for refund. Beware of this product. Did clean well the few times it actually worked. Only reason would give one star.

You could spend stupid, eff-ewe money and get a much higher quality robot vacuum, but for the price point, you could do a lot worse. This is an easy-to-use robot vacuum, has good battery life, good suction and cleaning, and is a good value for the money. Charges fast and functions well.

After 3 pool vacuum finally found this one and it works perfectly in our above ground pool!! The others would only move a few inches and stop, or the battery life was only 10 minutes. This vacuum cleaned our pool in about 20 minutes and kept moving! Well worth the money!!
