Do they work? Yup. Are they brass? Nope. The seal is good and seem to couple and uncouple just fine, but the threads are a bit roughly cut and the bodies are plated steel. Tested with a magnet

As you read this review please note that the set supplied to me was the SIX piece set, not the eight piece set which this review appears to be attached to. This is exactly what I expected so not an issue with the supplier. However, the kit you receive may have two extra male fittings. Quality appears very good. Solid brass. I have the pressure in my home garage set for only 100psi so tested to that pressure with no leaks or issues. Connection is very solid. Tested female fitting on one of my (previously leaking) portable tanks. Did a great job solving my issue. Fitted the male end to my hose reel to check connection and works nice and solid. Overall, a nice high quality product at reasonable pricing.

I have been using air tools at my home garage to work on my cars, trucks and motorcycles for over 20 years at this point. So, I have a reasonable amount of exposure to air line couplings. This kit is of good quality, decent finish and weight. I have seen better ones but they also cost more. I feel they'll last me a while. No leaks and solid connections for my needs.

I had high hopes for these fittings, my hopes were dashed after the first try.One of my air chuck/gauge inflators had a fitting that I got from a local DIY store, it leaked some but not much. I was hoping that these ones would be airtight. No such luck. I only tried one fitting but that was enough. It leaked far worse than the one that I took off.Don’t waste your money!
