I have to say I was very wary of the price of this composter, but I have been so impressed with it. The app is a really cool feature. You can check progress and see your environmental impact. It works so quickly. It is a little large but fits on my counter well. It takes up about the same amount of space as a toaster oven or air fryer. It is fun to see your food turn into compost so quickly. The little bucket comes out easily for easy compost removal and cleaning. I did find it a little intimidating at first and I did put off using it, but once I got started it was super easy. I have not had any bad smells. There is some condensation that accumulates on the inside of the lid, but that is to be expected. It is very quiet, too. The quality is great and it is definitely worth the investment, especially if you’re looking to be more green.

The Airthereal Revive R800 has transformed how we handle food waste in our home. Its 5L capacity is perfect for our family, efficiently processing daily scraps into nutrient-rich compost. Even on a full week meal prep day this thing can handle all the scraps. The three modes—Eco Pre-Compost, Bio Compost, and Self-Clean—offer versatility, allowing us to choose between quick drying or full composting, depending on our needs. The odor-free design is impressive; even when processing old scraps, the machine emits minimal scent. On the worst combinations of foods it has a slight smell kind of like heated dirt but nothing past that really and even that is pretty minimal. Plus its quiet operation (comparable to a dishwasher, maybe a little quieter) is very impressive.Overall, this is an eco-friendly, efficient, and user-friendly solution for reducing food waste and enriching our garden. It's a valuable addition to any home committed to sustainability or if you're just tired of chemical filled fertilizers for your garden. Never going back to throwing out food scraps!

I honestly did not expect to love this thing as much as I do. Every attempt I have made in the past to compost my own food waste has ended poorly so I was not even sure how much use I would get out of this item. Boy, was I wrong. This has quickly become one of the most useful, most used items I own. This unit is incredibly well constructed and super easy to set up and use. One of the things that always stopped me from actually seriously composting in the past was the smell. No matter what container I used or where I kept it, it always stank. Not this time. This composter actually eliminates that whole step completely. While the process does have a smell associated with it (depending on what you have put in the basket) its not at all unpleasant or overly strong. It just smells like food. Not rotten food, just food. It also does not really produce much noise. The grinding portion does have a light whirring noise associated but nothing else. This item is obviously not creating actual compost, what it does is breakdown, dry and process food into a powdery substance that you can add to a compost pile outside. A full five liter bucket of food waste is processed down to a third of the size in only a couple hours removing a HUGE amount of time and trouble from the process. This makes things so much easier and so much less messy. The size of this unit is very large and it generates a lot of heat and moisture during the process. You will need a large amount of space to really situate this item and it needs to be an area with good ventilation. I have it in my utility room near the laundry machines so its within easy reach of both the kitchen and the back door. Perfect. This item is super useful if you are serious about reducing your food waste and gardening. The app even allows you to track your carbon offset and gives you bonus points that can be traded for products on their website. If you have use for something like this, it is worth every single penny.

I knew going into this it wasn't an actual Composting Machine (none of these are) - it will dry and grind down what produce you throw into it - but that sounded perfect to me. We have a tiny composting can for our apartment complex that's a bit of a hike to reach and is often so full you can't add anything to it - so having something to compact everything down is what I need. And as a person with a brown thumb...that sounded even better. This thing is HUGE. It's not something you can easily sit on the counter unless you have a massive kitchen (in which case I'm jealous). I have ours on top of a cabinet in the dining room and just bring the bucket in when cooking. It keeps things from smelling, and it's surprisingly quiet when running - I can be in the living room (right next to the dining hall) and not hear it. It's also extremely easy to use - just two button presses and wam bam it's good to go.Over all, I love having it as part of the process.

First thing about this is be prepared for the size. It is not really something you would want to just have taking up space on a countertop, it is big. It is super easy to setup and use. Be prepared though, it does not make actual compost, what it does more so is to slowly cook and dry out organic material and crush it a bit. It does not have the bacteria or break down the materials to nutrient enriching soil plants can feed on. Over time it can break down and enrich the soil but it is more effective if you think of it as a way to reduce food waste and add to an existing compost pile. It does do a great job of containing smells, I have it in my kitchen and smell nothing. Another down side is sugary, or fruits with high liquid contents don’t dry out as easy and may take an additional cycle to fully dry out. Overall I love it for the possible reduction in food waste and when used correctly creating great soil in a compost heap.
