For the price it's a good little stove. I found that using 91% iso alcohol works best. I know denatured alcohol is recommended but the iso had a longer burn time. It's perfect for the " get outdoors " and camp person. I only gave 3 stars because it's just not to my liking. I am in no way saying it's not right for someone else. If you're into a budget friendly alcohol stove then this one is for you...

Modified the stove stand to accept both the alcohol trangia and sterno can. Just take a pair of pliers and bend the 90 degree legs tabs to 45 degrees on all three legs.

Takes forever to heat anything and that's if it even lasts. Not as convenient and not good for cooking like a portable electric stove which you can buy for $5 more.

If you're looking for an inexpensive, simple camping stove that "does the job", this will do.The prime advantage: it uses VERY low-cost fuel (I highly recommend de-natured alcohol), and that fuel lasts a long time. I filled and entirely emptied the fuel base then lit it just to see how long it would burn. It continued to provide a sizeable flame for 5 minutes, even when "empty". I would suspect on a full fill it would last for quite some time. Note that Isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol, no matter what strength) burns "dirty" and will create heavy black soot that is very difficult to clean. Denatured alcohol burns cleanly.Main disadvantage: No instructions whatsoever. Not a sheet of paper, not a website reference. It always amazes me when a manufacturer / sales company is too cheap to include a sheet of printed paper with their product.Beyond that, this is basically a "tin can with bent edges and holes drilled in the side". They provide a "hot, gentle" flame, as alcohol flames tend to be. It will not easily "blow out" so is resistant to wind, but will immediately snuff when the snuffer-top is set on top, cutting off oxygen. If you accidentally spill it fire will go everywhere immediately (as with most liquid fuels), so not really for use inside a tent or cabin unless you put it in a protective metal pan.It doesn't fit well inside the base; you will need to bend the clamping prongs with pliers to hold the base securely in place. This isn't difficult to do, just cumbersome at first. The clamps should hold the sides of the burner, not the top ridge. Once clamped firmly in place just leave it.The holder and burner DOES get hot, so always use on a heat-resistant surface (the ground, a rock, grating, or a piece of board). Alternately you can turn the base upside down, but then the stove isn't clamped and more prone to tipping. Be careful of touching any part once lit, because the entire device does get hot enough to burn.Beyond that, does it cook? Sure. Alcohol stoves tend to work pretty well in that department, and they have many advantages (cheap fuel, a clean flame, they don't explode, etc). Considering standard camp cooking pots this should work well. Some may be tempted to screw the base to a wooden base for greater stability.Generally I'm satisfied with the item. The lack of instructions for a potentially hazardous device knocks this down to 3 stars. But for the price (twelve bucks as of this review), it's one of the cheapest functional camping stoves I've found.

Works well. Minor crack on simmer ring but I don’t use them so no issue for me.
