Works ok. The thick sensor end is. To always accurate and takes some playing with to get used to what is being detected.

all the sensitivity you can ask for! at max half the breakers in the panel are indicated, reduce sensitivity until only one breaker indicates; "Life's Good". was able to get some idea of circuit routing (other outlets & switches supplied) using max sens. The Beep (audio Indication) could be louder; to some this might be objectionable!; you see!' the old Goats hearing is not all that it should be'. The tool will now be relegated to the tool box till next need; saved a lot of aggravation, paid for itself, well worth the price.

It works great just like a name brand that costs way more. You just have to know how to adjust it like any other one. I like it.

This is a “must have” item that should be in everyones toolbox. Just plug the transmitter into an outlet, and run the tracer up and down the fuse panel. The beep and light indicate which circuit breaker controls that outlet. In my experience, it is accurate and finds the breaker on the first pass. The included adapters allow you to also plug in to light sockets or bare wires to find the correct breaker. This is a feature that few other models include. The tester saves so much time and eliminates running back and forth to the fuse panel, or needing two people to do the job.

First I made the mistake of purchasing this and not realizing it was for EU outlets until it was past the return and exchange date. Then when I tried it with an adapter it didn’t work. It would beep on several breaker outlets that I touched. Great concept, but didn’t work and was not helpful. I ended up just turning breakers on and off.

If you’re an electrician this isn’t the circuit tracer for you, but a handyman type or DIY person would use this quite frequently I believe. It’s not cheap but it isn’t the highest quality. I love the options with the outlet plug and the bulb socket tester. Great carrying case as well.

This scanning tool works great and very easy to use. Saves me a lot of time figuring out which circuit breaker switch to turn off prior to doing any work on that circuit.

I will advise if you got this far to spend more money, your safety is worth it.I got this as a cheap way to label the breaker box in a house I moved into, I read and followed the directions, turned off the switch, replaced the bulb with the adapter and added the transmitter, turned the power on and waited then adjusted the receiver until it started beeping, I thought this was a brilliant thing as it was tuning into the frequency. Well I go down the 3 flights of stairs and out to the garage where the panel is and no matter where I put the receiver on the panel it beeped like crazy, I tried adjusting the receiver at the panel, I got it to stop buzzing on the far bottom corner except the four breakers it identified none of them were correct. So disappointed.

Accurately identifies the correct breaker, but requires careful movements of the adjustment wheel to accomplish that. I found what works best is to first set the sensitivity wheel to the lowest sensitivity, and then gradually increasing sensitivity while methodically searching through the breakers until it beeps over just a single breaker. Very accurate but can take a minute or two. Not sure if a brand name device would be quicker or not, and if you're an electrician using this regularly, it might be worth paying more for a brand name device. But at a much lower price, I'll take the extra few seconds and save the money since I rarely need to use it. Highly recommended for the typical homeowner.
