I picked these up to replace the cheap plastic pins that came on a guitar I was rebuilding — because the guitar isn’t valuable I’m attempting a low budget build and figured I’d give these a shot. First, are they hand made? They’re not perfect so they look like they are. The inlays are of poor quality, but as expected at this price point. One was damaged, however, and that’s not ok, Evan at this price point (it’s missing an edge). The real problem, however, is the poor condition of the “wood.” I do not know if it’s the wood claimed in the product description, but I do know that it arrived looking almost white because it was so dry. Several applications of restorative have them now looking better, but still rough and the color of cappuccino.To be fair, I gave this two stars initially-- I wasn't upset given the price I paid, but I definitely did not plan to put these on the guitar when I give it away. The problem is they are too big and fit _none_ of my acoustic guitars. Low quality, requires sanding to fit, not worth buying.

The dimensions shown are not even close. Under collar diameter ranges from 5.25mm-5.6mm (5.15mm claimed) and tip diameter from 4.5mm-4.75mm (3.5mm claimed). If they were as specified these would have a 5 degree taper. Instead, they are 2 to 3 degrees. Fitting the taper of your guitar's existing hole really matters, and these are significantly different than advertised.

Really pleased with the purchase. The item was here within three-days and professionally packaged. As for product, the pins did improve the quality of sound. There is a big difference. i have read other reviews regarding wood bridge pins whereby the reviewers complain the pins didn't fit. Well, when purchasing pins, a great majority of guitarists know you have to sand down for the pins to fit. Therefore, a great buy.
