Easy to install and looks good. Looks like it came on the vehicle, plus it protects your gas cap too.

I got this gas cap to replace the one on my jeep that doesn’t have a cover. This one is made out of aluminum and has a really nice powder coating on it. It opens and closes nice and smooth. I’m excited to get it installed, I think it’s going to look really nice.

Overall the install wasn't bad, but getting the existing cover off was a bit of a challenge. Once I understood "how" the clips things work (they just squeeze over the sheet metal so when you press them in, they clear the sheet metal). I found that once I pushed on the lower clip apply some pressure to kinda start the cover toward outside to be removed, then same w/ upper clip and then was able to leverage upper clip, I was able to maneuver the cover off the inner side by pulling the outside towards the back of jeep to give clearance. Installation was easy, but instructions said to use existing rubber gasket from old cover but a new one was supplied, so I went with the new.A couple of cons. First there are defects in the power coat finish (see pic). White spots. Second, there is a noticeable gap on the right lower half where the cap fixture meets the sheet metal (see pic). The angle of the pic doesn't really show the full extent of the gap, but in the pic if you follow down that side you can start to see the gap widen. Since this went onto a 2015 Wrangler w/ 180k miles I'm not too worried about it, just bringing it to attention in case someone may be. Overall a good value for the money.

I was replacing a gas cap cover that was probably 2-3 years old and had completely rusted out. This one installed the exact same way- take out rear taillight, pop out old gas cap, swap gasket, snap in this gas cap cover. Plenty of YouTube videos walk through this step by step.I think it looks really sharp, the American flag is a perfect size and nice bold print. Door snaps open and shut and despite it not having a pin, is such a snug fit that it doesn't spin around like my last one. It seems to be nearly identical to the one I had before minus the flag, so I'm expected another 2-3 years out of this one. More than worth it for the price.

I can't say that I'm incredibly blown away with how it looks compared to stock -- this is not an issue with the cover itself, so it's not factored into my rating, but it's a relatively minor change. It does look better, but for me it's more about the fact that my original part had been around for 14 years, not because the door changes the look that much. At any rate, so far the build quality seems okay, time will tell how it handles years of sunshine and drips from the fuel nozzle.

I had this less than 2 months and it already broke. I wouldn't recommend it.
