I bought this unit to cool a living room of 420 sf after my samsung 9900 BTU fail. The specifications for my new Amana ac unit are 11600 BTU so I thought I was going to have more air flow, this unit it's not performing like the specifications that comes with, instead performs like a 9000 BTU. So I don't recommend it for a room 420 square feet or bigger.
