This stand is a total game changer for ipas users as well as its extremely helpful in also being used as a port to function with my laptop. Personally I love the product and I’m very happy I ended up deciding to get it for producing music - WHICH it will connect a midi and full interface to your iPad and that was next level

This Anker 551 hub is a game-changer for my Pixel Tablet. The high-quality build feels great, and it adds so much functionality. Connecting my 1TB external drive was effortless, and the ample ports handle everything I need. The foldable stand is sturdy, easily adjustable, and puts my tablet at the perfect eye level, making it so much easier to use as a workstation at home. Sleek design too! Highly recommend for expanding your Pixel Tablet's potential.

This is overall a stand that does what it says on the box - until last week when the SD / MicroSD card readers stopped working. I have tried different USB C cables and two different computers (Window 11 and MacBook) with no luck. I contacted Anker who was able to offer a 30% refund as it was originally purchased / shipped outside of the US.I edit a lot of photographs so this 8-in-1 hub has become a much more basic stand. That's a shame! Would not buy from Anker again in the future.

The included USB C to C cable was dead on arrival, which isn't a big deal for me, but the size of the cable was just right for the size of the stand, which sucks that all of my other cables are longer. All of my other C to C cables worked just fine though, the only difference is the cable length.Other than that, the stand is extremely well made. The hinge is strong and tight, it can take a little bit of muscle to open and close the stand, but I'd rather it be a little too strong than not strong enough. The base of the stand is a little bigger than I expected, the width of the base is almost equal to the height of my iPhone 13 (base model). It hurts the portability a tiny bit, but it's still pretty compact, enough to where the size doesn't hinder my daily use at all.The weight is a tiny bit much though, it's pretty heavy. But again, I'd rather it be a little on the heavy side than too much on the light side; I want my iPad to be nice and safe in it, without fear that the stand is going to fall over. The ports on it are also great. Once you connect the C to C cable to your device, the indicator light should be glowing, and all of the ports just work. The audio sounds great, and powers my HD 560S perfectly. Every other port works exactly as you'd expect. I was also able to plug in my microSD card, and use samples perfectly fine in Koala and VividTracker, via audiocopy.I got this on sale for about 60 dollars and it is an absolute no-brainer steal for that price. Better built than the vast majority of other USB hubs at that price, not including that fact that it's also a stand. If you want an all-in-one solution like this, look nowhere else. This is where it's at.

I had a lot of issues getting this working but the solution was an easy one I didn't think of - I had to use the adapter the tablet came with. I have an iPad Mini 6 and used a number of combinations of high-capacity chargers, new cables, etc. When I found a suggestion to use the ipad charger (a suggestion I sadly missed earlier while looking into this), I used it and the cord the ipad came with it and it worked like a charm. It's a nice stand and even better now that it's working as intended. Had I been more attentive to what was said about it, I could saved myself some time getting it functional. :) Be sure to use the tablet charger when first setting it up as that should do the trick for you.

This does everything I was hoping it would do. Works great, especially the HDMI port. It is a solid product and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great dock for their iPad. I am using it with my iPad Air Gen 6, and it works flawlessly. I also recommend you pick up a 65w charger with it. Sadly it does not come with one.

Initially the HDMI port didn't work. I was using an Apple USB-C to USB-C cable to connect my iPad Pro 12.9 to the hub. I wanted to try out different HDMI cables but after I reviewed one of the reviews, I discovered that there was in fact a USB-C cable in the packaging. Using this cable, connecting the iPad to the stand, & voila..the HDMI worked! As mentioned in the review, it's very easy to miss this cable in the package since It's tightly packed in the tube like cardboard & because it's so light, I didn't notice it until I read the review of Ron. The stand itself is well made & sturdy, stable, firm adjustability, and good range of motion. I experience no degradation from the HDMI in either display or sound. However, I found two scratches at the front of the hub, which I believe could’ve caused during packaging but I can live with that as long as the functionalities are working.

I purchased the Anker 551 8-in-1 USB C Hub to improve efficiencies with my online business (iPad) and my day job on a Microsoft Surface Pro.The foldable tablet stand is a convenient addition, making it a versatile solution for both devices. The design keeps my desk free of wires and I can switch devices in an instant, whilst still using the same monitor, keyboard, mouse etcThe product is very solid and heavy (in a good way) and feels worth the money. I paid £59.99 but to be honest, after owning one, it is worth the usual £99.99 price-tag.Highly recommended for multi-device users!

Pretty good stand, got this on Sale during Black Friday but the normal price might just be worth it. Build is pretty nice and compact and slick with the iPad protector to avoid scratches. Everything works fine, just make sure u have “good ear/headphones” trust me the cheap ones might sound off when u plug it into the head phone Jack but it’s not the stands fault for connecting the cheap headphones, both USB(3.0) work fine and same goes for the SD card slots, it’s great that two SD cards can be reas unlike any other stand/USB-C hubs that say you can’t use both at the same time, HDMI cable should work with any good one too. Just waiting for the other accessories for my iPad to use this as “intended” with the iPad being on the stand and a Magic Keyboard that isn’t the iPad case. This should work fine with any iPad that have a USB-C port, no this probably won’t work with any older iPad with the lightning connector (iPad 9 for example) but it might work with a adapter of some sorts. iPad 10, iPad Pro 12.9-in. (3rd Generation or newer), iPad Pro 11 in. (All models), iPad Air (4th Generation and newer), iPad Mini 6 (and newer* (if there is a new iPad mini as there isn’t one now as I’m writing this review))* should all work with this stand. Note: Only M series(aka. Apple Mac chips) on the iPads have External Monitor support that being the iPad Pros(11-in.(3rd generation and newer) And 12.9-in.(5th generation and newer) the iPad Air 5(and newer). But either way the files app should detect those two USB-A ports regardless of it being 2.0 flash drive and same with the SD card two SD cards can be found, another thing to know if two are there the same on the micro SD-Card might be named Untitled but it still has everything but won’t be forced renamed on other devices like a PC or Mac. Used for my only iPad Air 5 I have btw.(Important note to use External Monitor support: you need at least either a mouse or keyboard to activate it as you’re recommended using both a mouse and keyboard but using a USB mouse can allow you to use it with out a keyboard but the problem is you can’t type as iPadOS 16 thinks you have a keyboard already and same goes for if you use a keyboard and no mouse, iPadOS 16 thinks you have a mouse already and you most likely cannot move on your second screen if it’s not touch screen(haven’t tried this theory yet) but any Bluetooth keyboard and mouse should work fine or wired with the USB ports).
