Great value if you make a lot of kid pants or just want to add some elastic to Ready-to-wear pants.This elastic works great for adjusting waist circumference for skinny kids. I also use this elastic in some hats, to make them feel more snug.I like that this set comes with buttons. The items are easy to use and are of a good quality.

The cutters are rusty and broken, the push needle was crude and kept catching and snagging, tearing the material.

I got this for a project, and though it kind of works, even though I sew the ends they unravel. Have a good plan to use it because it will require some thought. It did get me through what I wanted, but it is a temporary fix.

I remember when all kids jeans came with this type of elastic in the waistband, so that you could buy them a little too big and still make them fit in the waist. I always thought it would be ideal to have the same option in adult sized jeans, because whose wasitline doesn't expand and contract over the course of a year, right? Well now I can buy jeans that fit me when I'm needing a bigger size in the waist, but I can install this elastic and a button on each side and adjust them when I've lost some weight so that I don't have to keep buying different sized jeans. I haven't actually sewn them into any of my pants yet, I need to thrift a pair to practice on. Meanwhile I want to mention all the extras that came with this product, like the buttons, snaps (that don't require a snap tool) and my favorite, the snips. These type of snips are actually my favorite and I like to keep one with each of my sewing machines. They are spring loaded and very sharp, so be careful when holding them. Great value!
