Great weight, thickness and balance. BUT, I was really surprised by the chips and rough spots on knives that have never been thrown. I expected Acejet knives to be almost perfect, no filing or grinding necessary to safely handle before throwing. I've been an Adam Celadin fan for years and was so excited to order and receive the Appaches. Sorry to say, I'm disappointed in the quality of the finished product that I received. Two of the three can be thrown without first heavy filing, but it's still disappointing.

These throwing knives are very durable and well balanced. They work great for many throwing styles, half-spin, full-spin, and no-spin. They work particularly well for BIM style no-spin throwing. Unlike most Stingers or arrow style throwing knives, these are suitable for competition.They appear to be made of stainless steel- however they are not. They will discolor and rust if not properly taken care of. Frog lube works very well, but eventually they will discolor. These are slightly more difficult to stick in hardwood targets than stingers or arrows.If I could have only 1 set of throwing knives, it would be these. They are better all-around throwing knives than many other designs.

These are great knives. I have had them for a few weeks and have thrown them every day for about an hour each time. The design is much to my liking and throw well for all disciplines.I had a small problem at first with them and their customer service is some of the best. They took care of me better then any company I have dealt with.Highly recommended. Buy with confidence and enjoy!

Well made. These are what I call the high-end standard. Are there better knives?, yes but you do have to look for them and you might find them to be just a bit less expensive but these definitely cover all bases. No complaints here for the price and the performance, regardless.

Maybe I'm being a little too picky because they are throwing knives and not something to display. But for me the edges where unfinished and ruff to the touch. I did sand and clean up the edges with fine sanding paper to a nice smooth finish. The weights ran from 250g to 259g. Else they are great throwing knives and I like them very much. They feel nice and fit in my hand perfect.

I love the weight and thickness of the blades but I would really like to have them about an inch longer overall.

I have thrown these knives for one or two sessions each day for a month and I love them. I just ordered another set and look forward to having six knives to throw. Here's the story behind my purchases:A few months ago I became interested in learning to throw knives instinctively (no spin). I started with homemade knives cut from steel bar stock, then I bought some SCZO Supplies knives ($25.00 for 3) which for the money can take a beating and enable you to decide if you're really interested in throwing. My desire is to learn to throw something that resembles the shape of a normal knife, so next I tried the Kizlyar Supreme Osetr (about $38.00 each) which are good knives but the rear of the Kizlyar Osetr handle curves down making it more difficult to apply index finger push on the spine as the knife leaves your hand. I became addicted to throwing and found that I really wanted something of high quality that has a straight or slightly raised spine. Having watched many of Adam Celadin's YouTube videos I decided to support his business endeavor and try his "Appache" set. These knives are high quality, they throw well, and hit hard. I have thrown them almost twice every day for an entire month (averaging over an hour per day) and have not bent or broken a tip. They have hit each other very hard many times and small chips and burrs do appear but they can be smoothed up quickly with a file. These knives have also hit and bounced across our driveway pavement multiple times but to my amazement have never broken, though I may need need to touch up the sharpness of the tips just a bit. My brother and 2 nephews (all beginners too) threw them many times over a weekend visit and now they have ordered a set. If you want to throw a nice set that resembles a normal knife shape you will not be disappointed with these. I got $200 worth of satisfaction out of them already. I also bought a $20 leather chisel roll to store and carry them in along with my file. Pictures attached for inspection of wear but ignore the paint smudges on the knives which comes from my painted targets.
