These calipers leaked at the pistons even before a brake application was made. The maintenance facility that installed them said this was the second set of Detroit Axle calipers they installed that were defective. I am still waiting on my refund. No more Detroit Axle parts for me, I had to pay labor to have them installed, removed and replaced.

Not even 3 months and both calipers went bad.I’m so disappointed with this…..I mean it makes me think if it’s even worth it keep buying from this platform if they going to provide us whit this kind of qualitySo disappointed

The driver's side caliper mounting bracket that was packaged attached to the new caliper (that's how I know it wasn't the wrong side caliper) is a few mm off and caused the outer edge of the brake rotor to rub against the edge of the bracket. I replaced the old mounting bracket and no more rubbing is observed.Other than that the trickiest part was attaching the banjo bolt on to the new caliper with brake fluid (which is very slippery apparently) coming out at the same time. I used a 12mm socket and a short extension to help thread the banjo bolt which seemed to help.

Make sure you bench bleed or at least fill the caliper with brake fluid and cap off before installing your brake line. This will make bleeding the brakes 10x quicker and to ensure you don’t have any air pockets. Mine was an emergency purchase as my front RS piston was sticking/seized causing the whole wheel to heat up and dangerously shaking the steering wheel. Didn’t want to spend too much on a replacement so I bought these along with new rotors.
