The filter is pretty quiet. Water flow is perfect. Decent size for one Beta. Bought 2 for 2 Betas. Came perfectly, no cracks or any issues.

Si tienes algún pez afuera de solo un beta necesitas comprar algo para dar aire y El función del filtro es muy mínimo. Tienes limpiar todo el tanque cada 4 meses.

I did a lot of research on fish tanks! I am a beginner and there seemed to be so many pros and cons on every betta tank I found. I wanted a reasonably priced white tank. This one was perfect except all of the many complaints about the pump being too strong. I purchased the fluval pre filter sponge that a previous customer recommended. ( if you don’t know what that is it’s a $2 part that attaches to the slender cylinder portion of the pump/filter. It has only one side opening that goes on like a sleeve. The bottom is therefore covered and allows water to be sucked up only, keeping fins safe.) I bought two, one for each of my daughters. The first thing I did was watch them swim near the filter and they were totally fine! One pump/filter seems to run louder and I’m not sure what I’ve done differently. I’m comparing water levels, etc to see if I can determine the problem. It’s not really loud, but just louder than the other one. Our little bettas were SO happy to get out of the small 1/2 gallon bowls we had them in temporarily. It is really nice to see them actually SWIM! The light is nice and bright too and creates such a nice ambience in the room, day and night. I added a heater and thermometer. My daughters and I are very happy! I will update if there are any negatives I find, but we are happy to be a fish family :) I have not been paid for this review. I just did so much research that I wanted to help any others in need of feedback!!!

We've had this tank set up for just over a month now, and so far so good. The filter is dead silent, and the light is steady and bright. And our "rescue fish" seems %1000 percent happier in this tank than the silly little bowl my daughter received him in. We've added a live plant and some marino moss balls and the tank has really come to life.

2 Weeks in: Great Tank. Finally got to getting my betta, Old Man Buckuke, a new home to move into from his small bowl, and he was very excited the moment he got in, immediately became lively again. I was most impressed by how quiet it was, you can only hear it if you are intentionally listening for it. The 2.5 size is very nice, big enough that Buckuke is very happy and able to move around so freely and small enough that it sits nicely in the corner of our living room. It also has plenty of space for a heater (I bought the "Tetra HT Submersible Aquarium Heater With Electronic Thermostat" which has done its job well for the last 2 weeks), which I'm sure is part of what has made Old Man so happy. I got the white tank and bought a divider since reviews said that the filter damaged their fish's fins and since I heard horror stories of heaters burning fishes, but Old Man got really hyper after moving in so he hopped the fence, I found him the next day curiously swimming around the filter, after inspection he seemed to have no injuries and liked hiding under the filter so after unsuccessfully keeping him on the other side of the divider after many tries (guys, I'm still not sure how he made it over, this Houdini or Jackie Chan), I took the divider away. He likes to play in the filters current but he is a bit old and a little blind so the filter does catch the food away faster than he can eat but a "betta feeding ring" fixed that by containing his food nicely. The white tank is very pretty and has made watching him swim around very fun, and the filter does a great job of keeping the water clean and clear.Update (2 years later): I would def buy this again and do recommend it! Updating because although the filter was very quiet to humans, I had noticed after a while that Old Man would "surf" the glass and swim jerkily around. After some research, I found that the filter noise could stress the fish out and cause that behavior. So I ended up just leaving the filter off regularly, and turning it on to clean the tank occasionally while monitoring the fish's behavior. Old Man B has since passed (RIP), but I hope he had a happy last couple of years after I wised up and got him a comfortable home, and now our new betta is enjoying the tank.

My betta often hides behind the filter. Not sure if he does it cause he likes it or because he wants to be out of the current because it makes it so difficult for him to swim (this might change he’s lived a rough life I just saved him and he might be stronger when he’s healthy). But anyway the tank- I expected bigger, I don’t know why since the picture compares it to an overly large fish so it seems small but I really did expect bigger but looking at it, it’s definitely 2.5 gallons I just wasn’t imagining accurately.I hope the current gets better, and i’ve only had it a few days so all of these filter issues I haven’t dealt with. the filter has zero sound and I mean it. I can’t sleep with any noise, not the fan or heater and everyone in the house must turn their tv off or I can’t sleep. I am so glad it has no sound at all. but the filter is sort of big nearly half the top opening is taken up by the filter. I have two snails and two ghost shrimp in a bowl who I had in for a day but I decided to take them out and give the betta a week or two to get back into good health since he’s used to being in a vase with rocks and tap water- no heater plants anywhere to hide the water was never changed and he was usually not fed. he has awful fin rot so I got this cause it was cheap and 2.5x the size of his vase and so for the first time he’s living in perfect betta conditions other than the tank could be bigger. good starter tank but I didn’t realize how much I would love dealing with a tank and a fish and I will most definitely upgrade when money comes around. if you have a betta, buy the $9.99 water heater. seriously they need it they’re tropical fish and it does affect them. Pretty easy set up, some instructions not so clear but nothing you can’t figure out. If my opinion changes and the filter acts up like everyone else claims then i’ll update it but I am not having those problems at all. I rested it new through amazon and it had no scratches like some said and it seems to be just as described. I only give 4/5 stars because the current is so harsh on my betta I will try to do something to fix it like put a plant in front of it once i clean it and rearrange the thing. but now seeing this, I want a ten gallon tank. small is fun for like a small desk or a night stand but it’s the only thing on a big dresser and it looks funny
