Excellent design. This is for older SAI style shields, like my RX-Q helmet. I watched YouTube videos because I've never changed my own shield before. Piece o' cake. The dark shield and the new clear shield come attached as a unit, installs like a single normal shield. The two (dark and clear) raise and lower independently. I like to ride with both open. When up, the dark shield sticks out just enough to block the sun like a ball cap, so I don't have to tip my helmet forward anymore. The dark shield "locks" in up or down position, easy to unlock (lift up with slight force, or to lower you pull it forward just a little and it releases to pull down.) Clear, well-built, professional build, quality product I can be proud of.

I received a genuine(although import) Arai pro shade system, both the clear and smoke visor. I have one of these on my newer Corsair X and wanted the same option on my older SignetQ. This is the SAI shield line. Great fittment and I love the visors

Bought this for my Arai Signet Q, as it was time to replace the original scratched up clear pin lock shield. I contemplated getting both a new clear and a tinted shield - but I find changing shields on the arai a bit fiddly, so thought I’d try this as a compromise. And very glad I did!The tinted portion covers only about the top half of the shield. This took a bit of time to get used to, but the advantage it gives me is the sunny part of the view is filtered (I’m guessing by about 50% - so it’s still bright, but not “squinty” bright). But, the bottom part of the view is clear so I can still easily see my instrument panel, GPS and switches. Both the tinted and clear section flip up easily. Took a bit of time to figure out the locking mechanism on the tinted part (instructions are in Japanese), but fiddling with it while the helmet was off and it’s actually pretty easy.It is as good a quality as the original which lasted 7 years without any problems (just accumulated chips and scratches over the years (better the shield than my eyes). I’ve learned to expect good quality from Arai - would never buy anything else.Is is a bit more complicated to clean bugs off it, because you have the outside of the tinted part, the inside of the tinted part, and the clear surfaces to clean, and they overlap some. Luckily Arai seems to have thought of this- and removing the tinted part is done by unlocking two small plastic clips on the sides very easily.The tinted part also functions as a bit of a tinted peak over top when raised full or half way.Also, it came with a new pin lock inside insert already installed, I did not need to buy separately. I like the dual layer with the pin lock because it seems to reduce fogging in cold weather.Overall, very satisfied, much easier and because of the view from the clear section, for me it’s better than having two complete shields (clear and tinted). Would definitely purchase again.

サンバイザーはヘルメット内蔵か、外付けか。安全性を考えると本商品のような外付けタイプを選ぶのが正解だと思います。ヘルメットの存在意義はライダーを事故の衝撃から守ることです。事故った際に割れて鋭利な破片と化すバイザーは、軟かく弱い器官である眼球の近くに無い方がいい。バイザーを上げた状態での高速道路でも抵抗を感じません。操作も簡単。日の出や西陽が差す時間帯の安心ツーリングに欠かせない一品です。星を一つ減らしたのは、普及価格帯とは思えない値付けのためです。若い貧乏ライダーでも気軽に買えて、商品がスタンダード化するよう、一考を願います。

When you lock the visor down, it doesn't seal properly. Unlike the standard visor, a small gap remains that allows air to flow into the helmet and increases the noise level. Is this a design flaw? The anti-fog feature is nice to have on cold mornings. The shaded visor is not very dark. Moving it up and down takes a little practice but eventually is a non-issue. If only the visor sealed snugly against the helmet...

Just some info. This is an SAI Visor not a VAS. I have a corsair x which requires the VAS. Easy mistake if you don't read the fine print.

Excellent visor no longer need two shields or try to stuff glasses inside my helmet, took about 1 week for mechanism to wear in a little, excellent choice

This is an Aria product for their helmets. It is not an aftermarket product that may not meet the manufacturers standards. Well designed and well crafted. Works great with the sun screen either up or down. The wind doesn't bother the helmet with the Pro Shade installed. I would recommend this product to my friends with Arai Helmets. Easy to instal and operate. Price lower than normal retail.

Original stuff, shipped promptly. Works very well so far, the only drawback is that you can't have the visor open wide for air and the shade deployed at the same time, unlike built in sun visors.
