My family and I challenge ourselves to spend as much time outside as possible (our goal is 1,000 hours per year). Cold weather doesn't stop us from having fun outdoors! This is the perfect base layer under soccer uniforms, sweatshirts, or snowsuits! They are soft and keep their shape after washing. I highly recommend this shirt for your kids!

The quality of this base layer crewneck top is good, but not quite on the level of similar more expensive brand name options from companies like Under Armour, Nike, The North Face, etc. This base layer would be great as a first layer for things like snow sports or even as a warmer base layer to be worn under a practice or game jersey/shirt for kids playing sports like soccer when it is chilly out. While the quality is good, it isn't the absolute best, so given that this isn't a top-tier product from a well-known name brand, the value is dependent on the price you can get. From browsing current options, some sizes/colors are selling for closer to $20, which is a decent value. However, some are selling for closer to $27, which I think is a bit too expensive for an off-brand base layer shirt of this quality. If this sold for around $15, I'd give it an enthusiastic endorsement as a great value option, but the pricing on some of the sizes and colors is at a point where you could get a slightly nicer brand name option for a similar price. If you can get this for $20 or less, it's a good value. If the size/color that you need is selling at full price, you may be able to find a better option at that price point.

Even though I received this as an item on Vine, I still ended up returning it because I hate this so much I don't even want this in my house.Here's why I feel so strongly about this:- First thing right off the bat, the material isn't anything special, its kinda like your regular gym clothes that are water proof.- The stitching design is completely absurd. For some reason, on the inside the stitching really itches and makes the skin irritated. Imagine wearing this underneath 3 layers and having to scratch that you cannot get to.- Someone in the comments mention that it has a fleece lining - no it does not have a fleece lining. Wouldn't that be nice.For the parents, if you bought this for your child please ask them if they really aren't itchy in this.I got two of these, got the XL size for my husband, even though it did fit him and his skin isn't very sensitive he couldn't stop scratching. I wore mine too and it was just awful. Its like I can still feel it pricking my body.I do not recommend this.

The sizing chart on both the package and the product page has waist, hip, and inseam measurements but no sleeve length provided. Inseam is usually the length of the pants leg measured from the crotch to the bottom of the pants on the inside seam of the leg. I measured the sleeve length on the top and it measures 30 inches (large size) and doesn't correspond to inseam measurements on the package. I would assume for a shirt just like a jacket or dress shirt the measurements for the chest and sleeve length provide the most useful information on what size to order. The waist and hip size for a shirt? Doesn't make sense to me or they are just using the measurement chart for their pants and printing it on the same package used for their tops. I went off the general size where it list size L corresponds to a general size of 14-16 for kids.They call it a power base layer so I assume you use it as the bottom or base layer under your shirt or jacket and the top does have a form fitting design. It doesn't fit like a compression shirt but is form fitting so you can wear it similar to a thermal shirt under a sweat shirt or jacket. The color is a nice deep blue and is good for use as a breathable undershirt or for wear while working out or outdoor activities in the cool weather. The sleeve length is 30 inches long (large size) so it won't hang or stick out past your shirt or jacket and is typical for thermal layered clothing.

While this product is thicker than what I would normally associate with a base layer, it does act like a base layer should. It fits snug so you can easily and comfortably layer on top. The material has a fleece like lining so its very comfortable against bare skin.On the shirt we received, it had a kangaroo pocket like you see on hoodie sweatshirts, but the listing did not indicate that. The pocket doesn't bother us but it was funny that was how it came. The pocket also makes it less of a "base layer" IMO.Overall I am very pleased with the quality and the value of this shirt from Arctix and will be looing to more of their products in the future if this is an indication of the quality that I can expect.
