It‘s more then a rain jacket. The material is thicker than others and has a clothing lininginside. Comfortable and durable. Keeps the rain definitely outside

Excellent rain jacket. Very obviously high quality and substantial. Good looking. Effective.Lots to love about this one. Let’s start with looks. We got lilac — it’s good looking and not in your face. Great for my granddaughter.Substantively, it’s more thick than a slicker or poncho. Closer to a shell or jacket than windbreaker. And it’s made from a matte-like material that really does keep the user dry. Surprisingly warm. Perhaps even too warm if you’re using on a hot summer day or too thick if you’re trying to pack light.But for every day use? Great. Especially handy in the spring, where we live we expect cool mornings and frequent rain.If it were really cold, we could probably fit it over a fleece and use it like that. Would probably work well as this one seems to run a little on the large side.The hood can be taken off. I don’t have strong feelings about that feature — could take it or leave it.Overall, very happy with this rain jacket.

Great quality jacket. It feels great and looks great too. I really love the material - it’s soft like microsuede. The weight is perfect - not too heavy or puffy and not too thin or ultralight. The detachable hood snaps on or off. The cuffs are elastic and designed comfortably. The bottom of the jacket has elastic on each side - I like that it is not all the way around. The hood also has a little elastic cinching on either side. The jacket zips, snaps (one top snap and one bottom snap), and velcros up the front for increased protection from the weather elements. The Velcro is 3 sets of narrow 2” long strips. There are reflective bands on each arm near the wrist. The look of the design is very gender neutral. I really like this quality jacket. The only thing I would like to see are pockets. There are none anywhere. I like that It has a nice sized loop sewn in the inside collar from which to hang it on a hook to dry - very helpful. I really like this durable and quality-made, good looking jacket. It will last for many seasons.

I have been getting tons of rain gear recently for the entire family and this jacket is probably the best quality rain jacket at this price point. The material is truly a water repellent material, unlike many other rain jackets that just have chemicals sprayed on to make us temporarily water repellent. The material is also a very soft matte that has a smooth look to it.Honestly, I love everything about this jacket. If I could only add one thing to make it the perfect rain jacket, it would be pockets. Yes, I know it’s a “standard” rain jacket, in the artix line, so I’m guessing their top of the line rain jacket may have extra bells and whistles. But even without pockets, I’d still keep this jacket.Some things I like about this jacket:-hood is removeable-resilient thick material; great as windbreaker-light pastel colors—THANK YOU-reflector strips on arm bands and back for safety-the extra Velcro strips and top and bottom buttons on the jacket to further seal the zipper opening for full rain protectionThis is a solid rain jacket that is good to last and pass down kids, which is what I plan on doing.

We just received this so I don't know about durability, but I will say the weight of this rain coat indicates that it's high quality and waterproof. The fit is nice on my 11yo (ordered a M), but he's on the small side. I used the size chart and measurements to decide on size and the worked well. Hood is detachable and I appreciate the reflective accents. The only downside that I didn't realize when ordering is there are no pockets on the jacket so if you're looking to use in wet and cold weather, just know your kids won't be able to keep their hands warm with this jacket. Otherwise, seems like a great buy for the price.
