I had zero expectations for this watch and it actually turned out to be great. All features work as expected and now I am wearing it for a second day and the battery is at 52%…

The size of this watch is HUGE. And for people with smaller body frames and wrists like mine, it's not ideal. (Unless you like overly big watches.) As a result, the dials on the sides will press into the top of my hand when I'm wearing it. The wrist strap is made of rubber, so it certainly doesn't have a luxury feel to it, but I imagine it's more geared for rugged environments, given the watch's aesthetics. The digital part is your standard interface with plenty of smartphone syncing options. I really wanted to like this, but unfortunately, it's just not what I expected given its larger size.

This watch is large and has a big screen that can show a lot of watch face detail. The body of the watch is a tough plastic, and has a lot of extra bulk around the edges, including compass indicators that seem only to be decorative. The watch setup isn't particularly difficult, though the included packaging and instructions give little to go on, other than how to power the watch and where to download the companion app. Following basic setup and watch pairing, there are no instructions on how to actually use the watch or what the three buttons on the side of the watch do. For example the FAQ in the app tells you to enter watch setup, but does not tell you that to do so you need to wake the screen and swipe-right on the watch face to show the settings icon. The top button turns the watch face on and off, as does the second button but it has a rotary dial that lets you switch your watch faces quickly, and the third will initiate an exercise session. One of the panels in the brief printed instructions gives the company web site, where I was able to find some instructions like ones I just gave. The app had many frustrations for me, and as of this review it has not been updated (for Android) in almost one year, so that leads to pessimism that improvements are forthcoming.- The app will not let me set my own step counting goal, it is wired to 10,000 steps and won't let me change it- The one watch face that is editable/customizable would not accept the first picture I selected for the watch face, though it took the second- The choices of watch faces are okay, and the app provides a few more (you get one slot on the watch for an extra watch face that you can download from a gallery), but the one customizable face option has nothing available to change more than uploadable background and inclusion of two choices from date, sleep, heart rate and steps. You can't swap out the step counter display for current weather temperature, for example- Choosing of "favorite contacts" on the app seemed to randomly leave out people I tried to add from my phone contacts listI also found issues with the biometrics. Some people rely on these number for their workouts or other health purposes, and when they are suspect it is problematic. A test I like to run for biometrics is to check heart rate or oxygen level (when available, it is not on this watch) of fruits or other objects. Sometimes this watch let me know I needed to wear the watch properly, but other times it performed a measurement on an inanimate object and gave a steady heart rate reading. The attached pictures show a product box with 85bpm, and the face of a smartphone with 103bpm.Overall I think this is a choice to consider if all you are looking for is a large colorful display and the basics of time, date, step counts, and perhaps weather. But the software and biometrics issues were frustrating.

Picked this up when it went on sale for 25 dollars USD. I do have mixed feelings about this watch. Visually, it is a beautiful watch. Has a large face and looks great when worn on the wrist. Great selection of faces to choose from. Easy to connect with your smartphone (using the app). It sends me my notifications reliably and has an easy and pleasing menu system. You can control your music from the watch if you are using Spotify or a music service. However there are some downsides. The watch will frequently disconnect from the app then immediately reconnect which winds up clearing your accrued step count for the day. So using it as a reliable step counter is near impossible. Also, I have noticed it will switch watch faces randomly. I do not know why it does this, perhaps due to the placement of the dial and how sensitive it is, and when I bend my wrist it could be moving the wheel to click it to another face. I think the face swapping feature should be keyed elsewhere or you should have the option to disable the dial and select the face thru the menu system.Overall, if you can pick up this watch on sale it is worth it. However, due to the fact it is so buggy and continuously disconnects then reconnects to the app and I consequently lose my steps count for the day is extremely annoying.

For the price you can't beat this watch. The battery life is outstanding. I was pleasantly surprised with the performance. This is a big watch...really big. It's really light though so I don't notice the size. I haven't had any disconnects between this and my Samsung phone. Although this won't replace my Galaxy watch, it has a lot of the same features (sleep tracking, steps, workout tracking). The only feature I wish this had was hourly notification but maybe this will get added in the future.

The battery on this is GREAT! You can not reply to text, but you can read them. You can talk on the watch. (The speaker is quite loud.) You can pick a watch face from an extensive gallery.I charged the battery Monday and it is still at 35% on Saturday night. Much better than my Galaxy watch.Easy to navigate. Simple app. I'm very impressed. Armitron always goes beyond for the price. I would order another one if I needed another. But, I think I'm set. Thanks.
