Better than any of the Rii Keyboards. I give this HTPC keyboard with trackpad 2 stars, whereas I would give the Logitech K830 4 stars. There are no trackpads that can match the ones for Macs. For Windows, K830 is widely regarded as the best, but that was released in 2014, and technology has gone backwards. This Arteck HB305-4B has a terrible trackpad. The scroll functionality is almost so unusable that you're tempted to navigate with the arrow keys. The keyboard and backlights are good, but I need to press the ALT key extra hard to get it to work in Premiere. The volume controls are the main buttons on an HTCP keyboard, but they have been shoved in among the other buttons, forcing you to look at the keyboard each time you adjust it. The left and right mouse buttons feel the same as every other button so you will not naturally click them correctly each time and are they are way too low under the palm of your hand, so you need to stretch your fingers awkwardly to simply click and drag. As well, neither the the trackpad nor the mouse buttons awaken the keyboard backlit, which is ridiculous. The unit sits nicely on your lap or your chest if you are lying down. It looks good on a desk and doesn't take up much room, the keys feel nice and are spacious enough for me. Even though I give this 2 stars, I have not tried anything better yet, and I make HTPC keyboard review videos. The trackpad is really bad. I had to change the registry key in Windows 10 to get it to scroll in the proper direction. (run regedit, search: flipflopwheel, change value to 1 and restart your PC). I'm relieved that it scrolls in the correct direction now, but scrolling sometimes requires me to slide two fingers down the trackpad by more than a centimetre before the pointer moves.- Scrolling, Dragging and Pinching are awful- Volume Controls tucked away- Backlight good- Battery good- Keyboard good

One caveat: The trackpad is detected as a mouse, not as a trackpad in Windows. This means if you want to invert the vertical scrolling direction in Windows 11 you do the following:Open Settings, Bluetooth & Devices, MouseModify the Scrolling Direction. Done.Do not waste your time in Touchpad settings. It took me a few days to figure that out. I tried some registry hacks intended for Windows 10 which didn't work, but this simple GUI modification did it just fine. Now that I got that out of the way, it's a great keyboard. Unlike the Rii branded bluetooth keyboard I also have, this one types quickly and doesn't get overwhelmed with fast typing. Great for a home theatre setup.

This keyboard replaced a Logitech K400 Plus which I have been using for years. It's similar in size which works for my compact setup. I really like the backlight which the Logitech didn't have. I also like the shape and feel of the keys.

Works flawlessly. Keyboard feels good - in fact the keys feel a bit better than my MB Pro's keyboard, yikes ! :-) The trackpad is a little less silky (compared to my MacBook pro trackpad) but I soon got used to it. It supports dual finger gestures (like pinch and scroll and pan) but doesn't seem to work with 3 finger ones.Seem to have very good battery life and charges quickly. One very minor downside is that unlike another BT keyboard (without a trackpad built in) that I have, and several others that I have seen, it only seems to have 1 'pairing configuration' - on the other BT keyboard I have, you can switch it between 3 different host pairings by pressing the 'fn' key with (q or w or e).I don't know if it was just in my case, but there was no manual (or qr code) with it, and at first I couldn't find a pairing button ( it is fn+c - there is a inverted Bluetooth symbol on it, duh'oh), but I the manual easily online. The manual is needed, because it describes the feature modes of the backlighting and trackpad, which aren't obvious, but I guess fiddling about with the fn key and the other keys marked with a inversed symbol could get you there.Pleased with it, so buying another one. Looks like I'll have a few wired keyboards to go to e-waste or gumtree or whatever, now.EDIT: So the second one arrived. It did come with manual and a cable. Additionally the trackpad was smoother and more matt - I then realised there was a protection film on the pad of the first one, which I subsequently removed and now feels really good - du'oh !

I bought this to use in the living room with our media PC. Unit is solid, feels of quality construction, similar to a much more expensive Logitech MX Keys I use for my main PC. Unit is weighty, keys have great feel. You have options for color and function / media controls. And though I'm not a fan of touchpads in general, this one is pretty good, maybe a little bit of lag but it supports two-finger gestures. Definitely adequate for my intended usage. Battery life is also great, and USB-C charging means I can use the same cables I use for everything else in the house. My only gripe is that it's slow to wake up from sleep. I usually just turn it off and back on since that seems to be quicker. Also neither the touchpad nor 2 mouse buttons wake it up, you HAVE to press one of the regular keyboard keys to wake it up. That's horribly unintuitive. It gets increasingly frustrating since it is used all day for our main TV, we need something that just works seamlessly when we need it to. Probably going to replace this with something pricier that wakes up quickly, and reassign this unit to a low-usage media PC in a bedroom.

nice keyboard and touchpad in one.only thing I did not like is I got this to travel for a laptop with a faulty touchpad and this is propped up on an angle and takes up more space than my old Arteck keyboard (that did not have a touchpad). But this is to make it angled which is nice, I use it at work and allows me to control music easily and turn off sound by pressing a button

I have two PCs in my office, and use a single bluetooth keyboard and mouse to operate them by using the keyboard's channel select switch. While that does work perfectly, I decided to get a second bluetooth keyboard and mouse anyway so I wouldnt need to switch channels.I wanted a smallish keyboard with either a ball or a touchpad so I wouldn't need to lose deskspace for another mouse, and this product seemed ideal. It was delivered earlier this afternoon and I went to set it up immediately. Problems steaight away;1. Put the keyboard in BT discover mode and clicked add new device in Windows. Nothing found, aside from existing connections.2. Cancelled and tried again, this time it found a new "Unknown device". Tried connecting to it, but it failed.3. Tried again and this time "Bluetooth 5.1 keyboard" was found. Sweet! Tried connecting to it...failed.4. Gave it one fknal try and this time it connected. The keyboard works fine, but boy does the backlight turn off quickly. The real deal breaker thiugh is the touch pad. The lag is so bad that this just cannot be used as intended. Move your finger and the cursor responds a couple of seconds later, and it's movement is slow and jerky.I'm going to try using it for the whole day tomorrow to see if it improves, and if it doesn't i'll be returning it. I'll update the review and rating accordingly.

I have owned 2 bluetooth keyboards prior to buying this product and neither were comfortable or aesthetically pleasing to use. I took a chance buying this product because I was wary after reading the negative reviews. However, I've found this keyboard incredibly comfortable to type on, easy to use and easy to set up. The buttons are comfortable and satisfyingly clicky. I enjoy the range of backlight colour options and the added bonus of the trackpad. The trackpad sensitivity takes some time to get used to (it's certainly more dampened compared to a Macbook Pro's trackpad) but it does the trick. I'm looking forward to hours of churning away at work on this! It's well built and sturdy, even if a tad plasticky. Overall I'm happy with this product and will update this review if I have any problems with it (charging issues, button wear, ect... as discussed in other customer reviews).

Like most folks, I've used multiple of keyboards in my life. Of the various keyboards I've owned, I've generally had a high regard for Logitech keyboards. Unfortunately, I could not find any good option from them when it comes to a bluetooth keyboard with a trackpad. The Arteck keyboard had decent reviews so thought I'll give it a try.My use case -- I wanted a portable keyboard+trackpad option for my Steam Deck. I don't currently own a laptop (have a mac and a PC desktop), and so figured I'll use my steam deck with a portable monitor and a bluetooth keyboard.I've used it for about a month now, and I am very impressed. This keyboard has honestly surpassed my expectations. I expected it to be a generic cheap product with bad build quality. In fact, it turned out that is one aspect I'm the most impressed by. After having using it for a month, I'm honestly surprised how good the build quality is. All keys have a good amount of travel. It's comfortable typing on this keyboard (as well as can be expected on a keyboard this size). Like I said, I've been using it with my Steam Deck, and it works just as expected. I didn't have to install any drivers. Steam OS connected to it just fine. And it works just as well in Desktop mode and in Gaming mode. The keyboard goes to sleep as expected, and if I return at any time and press any key it immediately wakes up the steam deck. The back lights are good enough. The trackpad works well. I can tap to click. Two finger scrolling works very well, and swiping down with three fingers shows the desktop. The trackpad buttons are of excellent quality as well.I've had no issues with the battery as well. I just put it on charge maybe once a week. Not sure how long it'll last if I don't but it seems good enough.I know i'm giving it an exceptionally glowing review, but I feel this product does deserve it. At this price I wasn't expecting anything nearly as good.Edit: 1+ yr update. The keyboard is still working just as expected. Absolutely no complaints thus far. One thing I noticed on the Steam Deck -- the trackpad gets identified as a 'mouse' in Linux Desktop, instead of a trackpad. That means to change pointer speed, scroll direction etc. you have to go to mouse settings instead of trackpad settings. Linux says 'No trackpad detected'. That had confused me at first. But the mouse settings do all I want, so no issues. But that does mean there is no way to turn off 'tap to click' in Linux (at least none that I could find). But I like to leave it ON anyway, so not a problem for me.One (very) minor gripe is that the manual is not available on the Amazon page, nor on the manufacturer's website. If you forget the instructions, having a manual is handy. Luckily a google search brought up PDF manual easily on one of the generic manual websites. I would suggest you download it and keep it for reference. I've pasted basic instructions using a label-maker on the back (I tend to forget the keys for changing colors, brightness etc.)

I have a PC in my living room and need a wireless keyboard with a built-in touchpad to control it effectively. For 5+ years I've been using the Logitech K400(+) and, while it did it's job, I never found it that comfortable to use, with average build quality and irritating issues like its signal sometimes dropping out and its touchpad being very imprecise.I spent the better part of a year looking for a premium replacement to the K400 and found that most of the good options from other providers (such as the K83 from Corsair and Logitech's own K830) are either incredibly difficult to find for already high list prices (£100+) or have been discontinued completely. Eventually, however, I started searching through non-premium keyboards and was pleased to find this one from Arteck which had great reviews and decided to buy one.Long story short I'm incredibly pleased: the keyboard is very comfortable to use - unlike the K400 where each key is closer together than on a regular keyboard, the Arteck has standard key spacing and that, plus the very tactile, clicky keys makes the keyboard incredibly comfortable to type on. The touchpad, too, is much more responsive and smooth to use, with big left and right click buttons below it that also feel great to press. And there's a backlight with adjustable colours for each key, too - which makes the keyboard a bit easier to use in a darkened room than the K400 or other unlit keyboards would be. Another minor - but nice - touch - is the shape of the keys - letter and number keys are slightly concave and function/modifyer keys (like control/alt/arrow keys) are slightly convex - helping you find your way around the keyboard more easily while touch-typing.The build quality is great: very little flex to the housing and each key and button is completely fixed in its socket, unlike the k400 which I found to have both of these issues. The keyboard connects over standard bluetooth and I've been exclusively using it on a Windows 11 PC with a motherboard based bluetooth antenna - this has meant I've had a flawless connection since I started using it and no issues with dropping signal or lag - but I guess your milage could vary based on your setup.Overall, I'd highly recommend this keyboard: for me it was a fantastic upgrade from the K400 - which had just enough drawbacks to frustrate me using it everday - and I can't imagine anyone being disappointed with it as a keyboard for a media PC, tablet, nintendo switch, etc - provided their bluetooth connectivity is stable enough.

[Update 05/24] After contacting the seller to claim on my 2 year warranty, initially they said they would replace the item (no return needed) but as soon as I mentioned I didn't live in the UK (I'm in the EU) they simply blanked me, no replies to my subsequent messages, this is not acceptable, even if it is the case, the warranty only applies to UK based items, they could have said that. Even if they had sent a replacement, as many others have already reported, the replacements also often fail so not much point unless you are happy to have to continually replace the item. I contacted Amazon CS in the end who kindly refunded me for the item.Too bad as is it's a nice keyboard but fatally let down by it's battery and charging, which was never great.I now have a similar item that I got from Aliexpress for just over 20 Euros with wireless dongle (more reliable) and which arrived in 6 days! It's not a nice in function as the Arteck or UK layout but it's a compromise I'll have to live with!--[Update 04.24] After just over a year of satisfactory use and I am still happy with it overall, my keyboard has now succumbed to what many others have also reported here (check the 1 star reviews): battery charging was always slow and battery life not great, but now it won't charge at all. Let's see what Arteck can do, tricky as I bought in the UK but live in the EU....I fear the hunt for decent wireless keyboard with track pad and back light goes on, and very few alternatives are available out there...--[Original review]>>After considerable global search for a wireless keyboard+touchpad *with* back-light and UK layout to supersede my Logitech K400, this one was pretty much top of the (very short) list, so I took the opportunity to pick up one of them when visiting the UK (seems not so easy to source equivalent models in other countries/languages?).Initial impressions:- Sturdy feel - well built- Key feel - reassuringly positive, not to light or flimsy- Great range of colours and brightness control- Compact but "full size" layout- Good size touchpad - not too large or small- Back lights power off automatically after a short timeout, only reactivating on key-press (not touchpad or L/R button)Minor negatives:- Well it is Bluetooth so that will always add some variations in how well your keyboard connects to your devices, so far for me it's been mainly ok (some stuttering when streaming video and listening via BT earbuds, YMMV depending on your host system/device..)- On wake from suspend, sometimes I have had to power on and off a couple of times before regain control of input- Small bezel, so if you are a WFH sofa warrior who likes to use the keyboard on your lap, you will likely grab the edge of the touchpad or buttons when picking it up- No dedicated multimedia keys (vol controls are allocated as standard to the F1-3 keys)- Matte plastic finish - prone to greasy finger staining- On my Ubuntu 22.04 the natural scrolling only works 2 finger moving the content rather then viewpoint- Back lights - could be dimmer for the key edges and can clearly see the main LEDs between Ctrl+Fn and Alt+Space but not overbearing unlike some other cheapo TV box type mini keyboardsBattery life I can't comment on yet but it's unlikely to be an issue unless you happen to be without your USB C cable for more than a day or twoI have not yet used this keyboard for long so initial impressions may change over time but for now - recommended!
