I bought an Amazon Basic shredder that didn't work at all and couldn't be serviced. This Aurora works just as it should and has excellent features. Very happy with this purchase and would recommend as more reliable option to the Amazon version.

This shredder has worked with no problems, so far. It has been used intensively over several hour long sessions. There have been zero problems, no slowdowns, or unnecessary stoppages. I foresee a long and useful career for this shredder

Shredder is very quiet compared to others. Shreds to very small pieces, could almost use for confetti. Has wheels to roll around, and the pull-out drawer has wheels to help remove and reinstall.

I bought this to replace a 10 year old unit I had that died. It works great, the removable catcher is a really useful feature (my old one I had to remove the head to empty the bucket). The pieces are tiny and the thing runs really quietly.I didn't think for one second that you COULD buy a shredder that didn't have a lock out option. My old one had a physical plastic key that had to be inserted in a slot for the unit to work. This one simply has an on-off button which any kid is going to master in about 5 minutes and quietly shred everything they can get their hands on.

Now that I've had a few months to use this Shredder, I can honestly say that I really like it. Before I purchased it, I read almost all the reviews before making up my mind. Some thought the on switch was a little flimsy but it works fine and I haven't had a problem. I especially like the light indicating when the basket is full. The micro-cut is exactly what I wanted because I was shredding important private documents that we no longer needed. This shredder is not whisper quiet but I haven't seen or heard one that was. Also, I'm using the Staples shredder sheets to keep it oiled. These were recommended by another person in a review and they work so easy. I would recommend this shredder if you have a lot of shredding to do and also want the paper, etc. cut up in timy pieces. Try it, you'll like it.
