Love these! I've used them several winters now, and they are very, very durable. They keep the snow out. Given how affordable they are, it's a great product.

急遽雪国で使うことになり購入。生地はしっかり硬めで、履き口のゴムを絞らなくてもズルズルと落ちる感じはありません。靴にはめるバンドも歩いても違和感なく、かつ切れたりする事もありませんでした。雪の中をかき分けて歩きましたが染みてくる事なくしっかり守ってくれました。肝心のマジックテープもかなりしっかりしていて、むしろはめ直したりする時に剥がすのに力がいるので、東京に帰ってくるまでそのまま装着して帰ってきました。ひとつ失敗したのが、ヌバック調の長靴に使ったため靴紐にはめるズレ防止の金具がヌバックの表面を削ってはげてしまいました。これは私の使い方が悪かったので仕方ないですね。

These gaiters were undoubtedly helpful during the rain spells I encountered during my long hike, but in retrospective I would get a different kind instead.The three main issues are that they're awkward to put on, particularly if you get caught by a surprise rain; they do not offer any protection against puddles, and the fasting strap at the bottom occasionally came loose.For my next hike I am going to be looking for something that covers the entire foot, rather than just the calf and top of the shoe.

Obviously we do not have to worry about snakes in UK too much, but that is not to say that these gaiters are not worth getting.I do a bit of wild camping, sometimes in a local forest when hammock camping.I have came out quite a few times with scratched legs, and worse a tear in a pair of expensive trousers.These gaiters are the perfect solution for this.The design is basically four flat and rigid but flexible sections covered in an Oxford cloth material.The front section is larger for more protection.They are secured using two plastic clips that are large hence making them easier to fit and remove.An adjustable strap is then fitted under and around your boot.Fit for purpose and I am not talking about snakes. Not that I would be testing them with a real actual snake.There is a line as to what I am prepared to do when testing items for review.A bit simple in its design and they are a bit heavy, but they work.Recommended.

These are amazing! They fit over my pants and cover the opening of my boots so rain doesn't get in. You can adjust how snug you want the top by pulling the elastic cord through the toggle. There is a clip that hooks onto your boot laces as well as a strap that goes under your boot, to keep the gaitors in place (I wouldn't use them with tennis shoes because the strap would wear under a flat sole. With boots, the strap is tucked away, just before the heel of the boot so it doesn't get walked on & worn out). The velcro down the front makes them easy to get on & off. The competitor's gaitors in the store were almost $90 and these were under $20! These gaitors kept my legs and feet dry while out in the rain, and they weren't bulky. I highly recommend!

These gaiters are very high quality, especially for the price. I'm a small person (5'1.6", 127 lbs) and was shocked these actually fit me! They have held up nicely (show no wear and tear as of yet) through about 40 miles of hiking on rough Sierra granite terrain in the winter in rain and snow. They keep my lower legs dry as well as warm. Love the elastic at the top for small adjustments. They stay up straight on my legs, the front velcro is sturdy and allows for pretty simple on and off. I've worn them with microspikes while hiking as well.

When you measure, you should probably measure from the ground up. I measured from where I thought the gaiters would ride on my shoe and got a medium. The strap that runs under the shoe pulls the gaiter almost to the ground or it doesn't have much velcro overlap to lock it in, at least on my foot. I am only wearing it with a Vibram toe shoe, so not a big shoe at all. An extra inch at the top would have been good so the drawstring would be above where my calf starts to get big to keep it from sliding. Circumference though is good. I am 5'10" at 165#. The next size up might have been a little baggy around although the correct height. Still, it seems like it will do what I need and that is protect me while I am running the string weed trimmer and hiking through the woods fields around the house which are full of blackberries. Now I just need something to protect my hands while I am picking them :-) I will order the next size up next time.

I have pineapples, decorative pineapples, bougainvilleas, and some sort of viny, thorny weeds in my yard and needed to keep my legs from getting scratched up when I work in the yard around these plants. I saw these got good reviews are reasonably priced, so I decided to try them. I needed to keep my legs from getting scratched because I use a Quell unit for pain control, which is worn over the calf, and it is not supposed to be used over broken skin. These work great! I've never used gaiters or anything like them before, and thought they might come with instructions like most things do. No instructions were included, but they were easy enough to figure out since I had read reviews and seen pictures from others. I live in a warm area of the country, so I wore them over bare skin most of the time, and over old sweat pants a couple times when the weather was cooler. They worked great, kept the thorns from scratching me even when the bogies tried to fight back and smack and grab me LOL I wasn't worried as much about keeping my legs dry or clean, but I noticed that they did both those things and were cool enough that my legs didn't get all sweaty under them. Not sure how else it could be avoided unless there's a way for them to make a velcro loop to secure it to the laces instead of a metal hook.

Closes very well with the Velcro, the sneaker/boot hook on the top of shoe/boot keeps coverage in place. Strap below shoe/sneaker/boot is OK, but would be better with leather. Best if you have a shoe with a "dip" right in front of the heal on the bottom,so that it stays in place. If your shoe is flat on the bottom like a sneaker, the strap moves about under the foot. But hey, it is still a good price. Any creature that bits, stings, crawls seems to get me below the knees during yard work, or hiking. Especially in warm weather when I want to wear shorts or Capri - long pants of any type is just too hot. These do not make your sweat, but great coverage. Have not yet encountered a snake, so cannot comment on that yet. I bought the larger size for use in the fall and winter when I do wear longer/heavier pants.
