Love this headder I piped In a high flow cat n a single chamber muffler man this thing sounds great put the headder on a 97 wrangler it fit great was a bit of a pain in the ass I had help with installing it I was on the bottom of the Jeep and my father was on the top we fit in there together much easier with two people I replaced my stock cracked header with is Banks one I feel more POWER!!! Way better throttle response

This woke up my Flowmaster 40 based exhaust and was reasonably easy to install. Welds looked good. Everything lined up well with the head and intake manifold. Flanges were the same thickness as my intake manifold flanges. Quality gasket and all installation hardware included. I shopped for a 4.0 header for a while, and this seemed like the best option at a reasonable price.

1993 Jeep YJ 4.0I don’t notice any change in hp, torque or mpg but the difference in sound is great.As other reviews have said, the materials, bends, and welds look of very high quality.It creates a very distinct tone at idle, and does not become “too loud” with RPMs.It is difficult to find good sounding headers for 6 cylinder engines but this is the one.Everything lines up very well for installation. 1 bolt was not accessible with a torque wrench but getting to it with a wrench was not impossible. Any quality header is designed around exhaust flow, not bolt hole locations, so installation is always a challange.

Very high quality part with good fitment and craftsmanship.Pros:Surface finish and welds look greatSingle machined face to the headDesign seems more rigid than other headersCons:Bottom bolts are far harder to get to than the header that came outFlange to the downpipe doesn't have studs, it's an added pain to have to hold a wrench on the other side of the bolt in a really awkward spotTips for install:BUY A SET OF WOBBLE SOCKETSI cannot stress how impossible this job would be without a set of the impact wobbly sockets you can buy at harbor freight.You won't be able to get a socket on bolts 1 and 2. Thread them in by hand as far as you can and reach up with a wrench from the bottom and tighten as much as your little fingers can. Don't freak about torque specs.

I installed a supercharger on my 99 TJ and decided to install this header since the OE headers are prone to cracking. Getting to it would be difficult after the supercharger install and that was a chance I didn’t want to take. It’s a quality product and one of the only properly designed headers for the tj. Most are known to crack but the revolver is not. I mated it to a magnaflow SS downpipe and had to modify the holes in the downpipe flange to make it work. Note: The magnaflow mounted to the OE header with no modification at all. Love the change in sound. Makes the 4.0 rumble with my AFE catback.I have dealt with Banks customer service in the past and they stand behind their products. 100% satisfied

Slid right on with no clearance issues on my 91 xj. Granted i have the newer style intake made by Dorman. All the ports lined up beautifully. Also came with a rather high quality gasket and flange gasket. Looks good. Sounds good. One you hold it in your hands and compare it to your stock one you will feel like your purchase has been justified.
