The delivery was quick! Unfortunately, for this price I was hoping it would arrive in excellent condition. That was not the case, as it arrived with a dent on the front .

I had a previous box, smaller, but with the exact same look and feel. It was not branded as Barska, but had no brand at all. The similarity is to the point where the keys from the old box fit and work on the new "Barska" branded one. The box is sturdy and will last. The lock on it is complete junk. It will break over time. On the previous box, the lock lasted approximately 5 years. Afterwards, it proved significantly difficult to find a replacement. The replacement mailbox locks sold here do not fit very well. I gave up and bought a new key cabinet, because I needed a larger one anyway. This one arrived well-packaged, in a cardboard box, and the metal box itself was vacuum wrapped in a plastic wrapper. It had dings and scratches on the back. It is on the side which goes against the wall anyway, so no big deal about the dings. But it speaks of a sloppy and bad manufacturing process. Whoever "Barska" is needs to tell their vendors in China to bang the product a little bit less during manufacturing. You can't see the scratches on the picture, but they are there as well. This is a solid 3-star product. Not a great value for the money, but you also have to consider the relative lack of alternatives.

We purchased this for work, as our current key box as it ran out of space. This box holds more than enough keys, and is more compact than our current box. Having said that, only time will tell if this will hold up. It is made of a much flimsier steel than our previous box, and i'm not sure about the strength of the hinges on the door and inner panel. My biggest complaints would be regarding the inner panel. The lower set of hooks on both sides are situated low enough that the tags are rubbing across the bottom of the box. As most regular size keys hang lower than the bottom of the tags, this means that any keys on the bottom rows need to be physically moved out of the way of the bottom edge of the box before closing it. This in essence has rendered the bottom rows useless for use with regular size keys (padlock keys would probably be fine). The other issue with the panel is the cheap piece of metal used to hold it in place, and then release it when needed. It's simply a piece of flimsy metal that once moved out of the way to release the panel, tends to not want to spring back into place. This means that when you want it to hold the panel once again, you need to use some pressure to in essence bend it back into place. The result of constantly doing this will be like bending a metal hanger back and forth. I don't expect it to last too long.
