I tried using this with a banana muffin recipe; it was smooth, no chunkiness that would cause any clogs...and I ended up giving up on it after the third try. The handle lever is flimsy, the plastic is thin, and overall it's just a disappointing product. The hole at the bottom doesn't even open all the way, which makes anything coming out the bottom very difficult. If my husband can't use it for any of his crafting with his students, then I'm tossing it.

This thing is awesome. I'm making so many more pancakes now it's ridiculous. I've used it with muffin batter I've used it with swedish pancake batter I've used it with crepe butter and it all works very well just how it should. I was a little nervous using the swedish pancake and and crepe batter because it's so thin but no mess shake it out on top of the pan and you're good not one drop. It's pretty easy to clean, holds quite a lot of batter, the spring is strong enough to snap it shut when you let go so it's super easy to use.!
