Exactly what I was looking for. Handles are say to grip and blades are just the right size for trimming my herbs. I also use them to prune spent flowers off my African violets.

The blades on these scissors are quite sharp, and they have pointed ends, though not as fine-pointed as embroidery scissors. The blades are also very short compared to the handles, which gives you leverage to cut through tough materials; however, it would be slow and tedious to make a lengthy cut, like cutting a bolt of fabric. The two handles are identical, so the scissors can be used either left- or right-handed, but I felt they were rather uncomfortable. That's not a problem for a quick cut, like opening a seasoning packet, but it would be a problem if I had to cut up a large quantity of herbs. To sum up, there are a lot of uses for these scissors, both in the kitchen and elsewhere, but if you are going to be doing a lengthy session of cutting, you'll be better off with more traditional scissors.
